I absolutely agree. Some put dumb stuff in them but these mods remain extremely good for most game mods in general, may be because the game is pretty oriented towards openness. Just felt the need to shit on the forum/discord faggots

Yeah they need a fucking reality check.
There was a mod that added a ton of music to the game from all sorts of sources, some of which were questionably copyrighted. But who gives a shit? It's a free mod for an obscure game that no one at all is making a dime from, but the circlejerk modder group threw a fit about it until the guy gave up and took it down. Same story as every other mod that borders the copyright line or that they just don't like.
That's the story I've heard but I never saw it first-hand. I just saw the mod back when it was on the forum and thought the ships looked ugly as shit so I ignored it. I just don't like the idea of kicking a mod off the forum for political reasons unless you're going to do that universally, in which case we'd lose the commie mods as well.
