Labotomy Corp scared me
the writer came out and said that this means literally nothing and to stop spamming him about it
writer's a liar then. you don't do something like that unintentionally and without meaning behind it
more importantly, who gives a shit what the author says
Or maybe you're an over-analysing retard. Ever thinka bout that?
When I got attacked by those mutants in the swamp in Red Dead. Fuck those niggers.
>playing Fatal Frame 2
>pause it to take a shit
>it's 11:30 at night and i'm home alone
>come back to video related
I then proceeded to turn off the system and play Gitaroo Man.

Lets humor the thought and say its intentional, what the fuck does this detail do for the story/game and what purpose does it serve? No other aspect of SH2 is "dude post modern meta-narrative bro" so why the fuck would this be anything other than unintentional. Also has anyone actually gone and done this themselves? How do you even know this image itself isn't bullshit.
the elytra in shivering isles
>writer
how about the guy who made the scene?
Yeah, all of them. Even the haunted houses in mario games.
The fucking bamboozle in Arkham Asylum. You know which one. I turned off my PC in panic, thinking it's gonna explode.
Ito was not the writer nor did he have any input on the stories whatsoever, he just drew and designed stuff
he knew as much about the games as Akira, ie fucking nothing
When Minerva talks directly to you, Desmond, at the end of Asscreed2
>play SH3 for first time
>in the middle of the night, pitch black, dark and cold in moms house
>with little bro
>volume turned down to 1 on TV
>get to that part where you check the mannequin and leave the room
>blood curdling screech after you leave
>loud as fuck irl even at 1 volume
>brother and I freaking out, go back into the room with the mannequin
>its head is cut off with blood everywhere
>turn off game and run up stairs and get under blankets
yes
what if they just made it like that because they didnt expect people to brighten the scene
All up to interpretation :)
Dude when that legs monster first appeared i pulled the power cable off the ps2
Same thing happened to me! Game is scary as hell
lolno
its still kinda cool tho
This is such bullshit. It's really cool that he's looking at the camera, but that made up shit about looking at the player. I just can't stand reaching this hard.
Cool little things we don't notice don't have to have a lore reason or anything. I wonder what this bozo has to say about Maria's derp-face in the balcony/window scene, the one that you can't see unless you free-cam to look at.
I can only imagine it'd be something retarded like "this depicts her face because SPOILERS she was smothered with a pillow"
>playing new vegas with friend in high school
>no idea what's going on and tense nerves
>supplies low, health low, surrounded by strong enemies
>enter a hotel room
>see a crimson ghostlike starlet girl standing motionless at the foot of the bed, facing the wall
>think she's hostile but shows no reaction as we carefully approach
>get within five feet and we decide she's finally an NPC we can talk to
>try to click her but instead she snaps 180 degrees and starts shrieking
>nearly throw controller across the room and put that bitch in the dirt with buckshot
>we save, quit, and walk to taco bell
I'm still mad as fuck at FEAR for the bullshit it pulled at the start. I was checking corners and everything and still jumped when the fucker popped out of nowhere and smashed me in the face with a 2x4.
Never actually finished the game because I got freaked out late at night during a scene where Alma slowly walked towards me in a burning hallway. I put the controller down and walked away while my dad laughed at me. Not sure if it's true, but I'm sure someone told me that was pretty much the literal end of the game and if I had just jumped out a window or something it was over.
What the fuck are you talking about?
Forgot tto say this was the Dead Money DLC
Condemned 2
kino case of expectations: subverted
oh god he's looking at the game I'M GOING INSANE SAVE ME NIGGERMAN
That random fucking bathtub in Eternal Darkness holy shit
No shit.
I've never seen the Vera holograms start shrieking like that.
Death Space a number of times and two only once (you know the part). Also Ocarina of Time in that one dungeon.
Kino.
I started playing Silent Hill 3 and I've already yelped out loud from a dog jumping at me off screen. I'm terrible with scary games, I couldn't even finish Amnesia.
The what now?
I think that James can't look at himself in the mirror because sub-consciously he knows he's a shit person and can't bare to look at his own reflection. Who the fuck cares what the author says, imagination is a lot more fun fuck him.
Yikes
Swing and a miss
its a basic stylistic choice meant to enhance the impact of the narrative
thats some Kubrick-tier shit, you fucking plebeian
>post modern meta narrative
don't use words you don't understand you mong
damn dude if you are already getting tense by the pupperinos, you ain't ready
Power through it if you can, it's a good game
The game called "Condemned". It kinda has this creepy back-alley murder type of setting like in the movie Se7en. Every encounter is scary because of that realistic atmosphere.
The other one is the first S.T.A.L.K.E.R game. The whole setting is scary as hell. It took me years to finish it because I would get scared just by the main menu music. Every second spent in this game was done with my cortisol levels spiking through the roof.
I think that games with a realistic setting and a high difficulty are the scariest ones. Not the over- hyped spooky Youtuber games like Amnesia, Outlast, or Alien... because you know it's a fantastic universe.
silent hill and darkwood
>its a basic stylistic choice meant to enhance the impact of the narrative
In what way does him looking at the player achieve this
>playing skyrim for the first time
>first encounter with spiders
>kill every one
>radar still shows 1 remaining
>go towards it
>is now behind
>go towards it
>behind once again
>look up
>massive fucking spider is descending upon me
>tense up so much it hurts
>The other one is the first S.T.A.L.K.E.R game. The whole setting is scary as hell. It took me years to finish it because I would get scared just by the main menu music. Every second spent in this game was done with my cortisol levels spiking through the roof.
