So when did you realize it was a game for autistic neckbeards? Retail is shit to btw.
WoW classic
Hong Kong Revolution of our time!
When people started caring about endgame over the journey.
When chinkbots and RMT boosters took over the leveling scene.
When people starting doing only BiS item dungeons and only getting on to raid.
When faction balance got fucked immediately.
Things are unironically only good when they're FRESH
I knew it sucked because i played it in 2005 and quit before AQ came out
It was doomed from the start
The game changed for better or worse. The people changed for the worse
when i bought into the "classic is the good game" meme, bought a sub hoping to meet people, go on adventures, join a guild, and ended up meeting anti social faggots who would dip as soon as their quest was done
I started playing a short time ago and all I wanted was to be able to grind and make gold to buy mounts and shit, but couldn't even do that, it seemed too much of a chore so I stopped playing
I basically lost the will to play when the whole SM autism started
Moderm MMO gaymers are unsalvageable
? I played it and enjoyed it
It was fun on private servers but went to shit when it became mainstream.
>classic is about to come out
>Join a pretty large guild
>they ask me my goals for classic
>tell them my main goal was to get Scarab Lord
>they say the guild will back me on this endeavor as I'm the only one who expressed interest
>fast forward a year
>everyone has become raid loggers or busy leveling multiboxes
>AQ quest line finally released
>get help from literally one dude in the guild
>a few others "help" but only to keep up appearances
>server is a week away from completing the war effort
>I've personally farmed 5k scarab carapaces by myself
>other dude has helped get me around 1.5k
>others in my guild dont care at all
I feel deceived more than anything. I'm disappointed to the point where I'm about to just quit. The past two weeks I've been here day and night grinding hoping that some folks in my guild or leadership would notice. The players with kids I can understand cant dedicate time to this vanity item, but my guild has people playing all day grinding dungeons with their multiboxes. It really sucks.
I realize it's something that doesnt add anything to the guild, but I just feel deceived. Meanwhile 2 other guilds I was looking at the start have completed their 2nd and 3rd scepters.
sorry to hear that user. Unfortunately the community and internet in general will never be as innocent as it was back in the early 2000s. Most people are just selfish these days.
Welcome to selfish zoomer hell, user.
>So when did you realize it was a game for autistic neckbeards?
I always knew.
Dunno why but WoW players are the biggest faggots in the MMORPG genre (although I guess FF also has some autistic fags).
You know in most MMOs I played people were always welcome in groups as long as they weren't 100% full retard.
No autistic screeching at suboptimal classes or builds, no stalking other peoples characters in databases or via addons to see if they do anything wrong.
No "you need to be 20ilvl over what drops in that dungeon cuz I need to rush it in 10min"
Nope just find some other fags that want to do something and do the content, no fucks given if it takes 5min longer.
I bet if there really is a WoW killer some day, those autismos will ruin the community of that one as well.
you were not getting scarab lord unless your were the guild leader of a close-knit autistic guild that's been together for years on private servers or retail
>tfw have the wow itch again
God why isnt there a fucking replacement
or a streamer
Around 2005
Why are so many people here so desperate for this to fail? You all were celebrating nostarius's death back in 2016 and have been going on and on about how shit this was since it was announced. I know it's not oldfags from back when WoW was hated here for being casual since there are none of you left so who is it? Just XIV trannies?
Yeah pretty much. This was a guild that was still playing Retail and always getting AotC achievements. They are all pretty close-knit. It just seemed like the content drip sapped them of any drive to do anything.
Hell my server is above average in population and we are still not done with the war effort. Looks like it will finish this weekend.
On the flipside I had to bench the roommate of our main tank during MoP progression raiding because we were stuck for three weeks. He wasn't doing nearly enough dps. I hated to be that guy but only like 8 of us were actually preparing during the week for raid night. Most of these fuckers would just log on for dailies and the raid and expect drops.
He called bullshit and I pulled the dps charts on him because he was in denial about his dps. Weird guy outside of this incident too.
why does the rope get shorter`=?
The moment I installed.
Thats why I played it for 13 years.
its just a collecting game, at the end of the day. i
old republic
You sound like a bitch.
But did it really matter in the end?
I mean how hard was he underperforming?
Unless he only does like 30% of the dmg he should with his gear I don't see how that effects the raid.
Him not preparing and just logging in for the raid on the other hand is kinda shit though.
your mom?
I played until a few weeks after ZG released, how is TBC? I've never played it and I'm wondering if I should look forward to it or not. I'm a bis hunter.
That's quite the pathetic attempt to get a rise out of me, my dude.
Because I played it back then and also on a private server 2 years before Blizzard launched Classic.
Also I knew:
1.That feeling and the times are differen, you will never feel it again.
2.The PvE-Encounters are might numbingly easy.
3.Many classes and specs are simply trash
4.The PvP is the only fun thing but you need a million trinkets and PvE-Gear,because R14 is out of the equation.
5.Modern day internet is garbage
I quit the P-Server scene like 1-2 years ago,I simply couldn't take spamming SB with CoE, for 2-3 in AQ or Naxx.
Having said all this I still believe the P-Server scene probably had a better feeling
and community than the current Blizzard servers.
Not only is the modern community cancerous, but the game itself is just too clunky and grindy.
Wrath/TbC are simply superior in every single way in terms of class gameplay and fun.
Woltk and TbC did a lot of bad things that killed the game in the end.But they were a million times more fun to play.
Classic is simply just so clunky and so many specs and classes are just giga flawed.
>bro I am having fun playing WL and seeing MISS MISS MISS because I have no hit talent
>Just summon your pet again after dying once in a bg
Those are just one of a few examples why Tbc/Woltk are so much enjoyable, except maybe the open world and community.
Also it's not like I will give Blizzard money ever again that company died for me with catacylsm.
He was sandbagging hard. Like 65% of what he should be doing. Like "do you even know your rotation" tier. And yes, we pugged through that night.
Disbanded twice over two expacs because of a similar problem. Most of the guild just wasn't trying but kept appearances. Not nearly as bad as him though.
>reeeee why won't these people I barely know spend all day and night grinding fragments for me >:(
Lol projecting much?
Is it any good? I hear that its like XIV, a single player RPG that just has other people running about.
nah I don't play this trash
Ok
The cutscenes are garbage and the story is trash but it's pretty fun to play.
it's good
play as sith
is fucking kino and edgy you will love that shit
cool
>reeeee just because I cant make friends in real life doesnt mean I cant online
>:(
I'd add datamining to this. Also, is this a problem that would come about regardless, just from a game's playerbase getting large enough or being around long enough, or is it a generational problem? In other words, did zoomers becoming a larger part of the player base cause the decline in player quality?
