Enjoyable shooters, but they're a one and done for me so I'd never pay more than $20 for a Wolfenstein game.
I know some folks think it's full of SJW propaganda, but I don't play a first person shooter for the story anyway so I don't give a shit.

im playing through return to castle wolfenstein for the first time. the first few levels are fun but i'm not feeling these crypt levels with the flaming monsters, its kind of gimmicky. i find the game more fun when its more traditional

Actually I think Zdoom is Zandronum iirc. It's been awhile but it was a culmination of all those and probably some guide on YT. Just some modern source port of Wolf 3D too. Loved blocking entrances my friend couldn't get through.

i like how in wolf3d, shooting enemies stuns them, so you can avoid taking any hits at all even with the pistol if you time it right
