oh never seen the quest item screen but I've been watching zfg play bits and pieces of it
the puzzles are really cool but the textures and the maps are pretty amateurish

I haven't played it yet, but from what I've seen it looks pretty decent

I've played a couple hours of it. I love the puzzle and dungeon design for the most part, but holy shit getting over the writing is difficult for me, and the ocarina songs are just retarded.

In the normal game you're supposed to get it first, but since it's a romhack it's probably not the case

the creator of the romhack cant take criticism either - check his youtube responses to the release trailer.

He has absolutely no intention of patching it at all or adding any final dungeon or ending

You're thinking of Spirit and Shadow. The Light Medallion is given in a cutscene when you get the Master Sword in vanilla OoT.

So the good ending doesn't include an extra dungeon?
Really enjoy the whole thing over all. Was way more than expected. Puzzles, dungeons, and level design were all great. Didn't have a problem with the textures either.
The ending was terrible. Was pretty upset about it. How do you even get the good ending?

None of the hints the game gives you is luckily actually needed.

This is the Naruto fanfic of romhacks.

Except where unexpectedness and subversion were cornerstones of Monty Python's comedy, making the ending of Holy Grail somewhat fitting, Master of Time seems like it's actually trying to take itself seriously, so any "subversion of expectations"-type endings just feel lazy and unsatisfying. I honestly can't fathom how anyone can invest over a year of work into a project like this and come away satisfied leaving it in this state.

I just got to the end of this, laughed my ass off and felt pretty empty inside afterwards.

Light the torches with Din's fire, then go back to the starting village and go to the area where you fall down in the starting cutscene. (the one where the kid is walking around complaining about his broken stick)
Hookshot up and walk forward, enjoy the good ending.

Also, what's the deal with the tree that is thristy in the mountains. A music bar pops up near him so I assume it's song of storms, but don't have that.

There's a note in the castle library that says something to the effect, but it's somewhat vague.
