Yeah, it and Legend are pretty fun. Underworld is too dour for my tastes.
Recommend going through with the dev commentary too, lot of fun.
They both suffer from shitty QTE sequences/bosses, mind (Legend surprisingly has a few legit bosses). So don't be surprised when you end up at the original games and go "Oh yeah I suppose this is the best".

I played Underworld right after TR13 so it wasn't really a huge shock to me but it sure as hell made playing Legend depressing

It's really good. Finished it a few days ago on my run through the Legend trilogy. I remembered liking it less than Legend the first time I played it years ago, but it ended up my favorite game of the Legend trilogy. IMO Egypt was the best part. My only problem with the reboot trilogy so far (I'm at Rise rn) is the lack of puzzles on the scale of the older games. Does Shadow get better in that regard?

In all the NuLara games, I used the bow exactly up to the point when you get the pistol. Then I use the pistol for the rest of the game, it's just so precise and fast, I don't see any reason to not use it.
Also, did anyone else's hopes and dreams get crusher when they first played Rise and had their infinite pistol taken away after the Syria introductory level?
