The madmen at loverslab have added butt bones to the animations

costs too much to make it not a dissapointment

Open world, high res textures and more sim customization and it would beat 3 tenfold. I hope Sims 5 goes back to open neighborhood, if they ever decide to make it that is.

It's like all of them.
They lose some key elements, esp. customization, but gain "polish" if you know what I mean.

That's a fucking chore to play those grindfests.

It's pretty lackluster in the actual simulation department. Everything gets handed to you on a platter so it's never all that satisfying to work your way to the top and so on. To paraphrase Paradox: Give player the options to do everything, but make it challenging to get there.
That said, the porn mods are excellent and I quite enjoy the simple artstyle for the characters. It took like a month of hard work to make an attractive woman in Sims 3 wheres in 4 it's effortless.

I wonder why Paradox hasn't already made a Sims competitor. Seems perfect for them. They just might even be working in that direction via the 3D modeling in Ck3.

Soulless, and incredibly easy.
It's a dollhouse for modern women to play with, removed of any of the old life simulator elements.

I think the problem is that Sims has been unchallenged for too long and most companies won't see the risk as worth it. If Paralives comes out and causes a shake up then there might be a few more competitors creeping out of the wood work.

Speaking of CK3.

Sims 2 will always be my top

The construction and setting up part is sort of fun, the gameplay is just about awful, you repeat the same shit over and over, the sims are morons who act all the same, there's a few funny moments here and there but you have the feeling everything is sanitized as not to offend anyone, you have plenty of locations but each is a world of its own with minimal interactions with other parts of the setting.
And lately the SJW garbage is just off the charts, in the last expansion the townies in the new area, are 2 dyke couples with kids and a family of white rednecks complete with a gimp in overalls.

i hate how aspirations have one path to fullfil and come with trait
if you choose learning aspiration you get "quicklearning" trait as if you can't love learning without being expectionaly smart

Can't believe they were so fucking lazy that they couldn't make teens a shorter height like the past sims games. Even fucking other non sim video games could have different heights and sizes for characters.

Wicked whims was pretty good but I was a bit disappointed how vanilla most of it was. Not sure if there are other mods that add kinkier stuff though.
