Good politics.
>Director's cut
Literally nothing.
Haha
Nothing, but I think we can all agree that:
poop filter > piss filter
I could quit the game.
It's ok.
One of the fastest refunds ive ever made for a game
>Zig Forums babbies don't even remember the board's take on Human Revolution
I'm too old
*I never asked for this
You had one job. ONE JOB.
I was here when it was leaked. Everyone was surprised it turned out as good as it did
>people think it's a masterpiece just because it didn't completely shit the bed like everyone expected
It was a solid third person cover/first person shooting game.
An 8 out of 10 to me.
You seriously pretending the "directors cut" version made any sense?
Game where you are supposed to stealth-em-up as a primary mechanic and the give you explosives and a shotgun as a starter weapon.
splinter_cell_run_and_gun.gif
Sure do. It's no masterpiece but considering how high the standard was for a Deus Ex sequel it surprised everyone by being pretty decent.
>to this day Director's Cut on PC has WiiU textures
>Original with better assets can't be bought anymore
This. Leak got me to buy a physical copy. Was not disappointed.
it was comfy
I don't know, sorry.
>Game where you are supposed to stealth-em-up as a primary mechanic
No? You get more XP from stealth shit because there are more stealth augments because stealth needs more handholding to do well.
The 10mm Pistol with the laser sight and AP mod shits over 90% of the game infinitely faster than any stealth build without cloak spam could dream of. It's so viable to just slaughter you way through that stealth is basically a self imposed challenge.
>You get more XP from stealth shit
Haha, no. You get more XP from silently hunting down everyone in sight like the fucking predator. You get little XP for actual ghosting.
Yeah I guess Ghost and Smooth Operator just cease to exist because you're too busy farming takedowns to notice
Yeah you can slaughter your way through in splintercell also but thats my point, it's a deviation from the original gameplay. Also the achievements require stealth to complete. In their attempt to give you the flexability other rpgs had with ways to complete missions, they ended up just letting you run and gun through the game.
> there are more stealth augments
This is fucking stupid, the game has so much non-stealth augments and weaponry it's retarded. Typhoon is the highest upgrade and most stealth players will never use it. You pretty much have 2 weapons you can use if you want to play it stealth-no-kill style.
You need those guns to open doors
The DC is a terrible mess though.
>fucked up shadows and shaders
>forced missing link which breaks pace
I remember. But my own take was always that HR never really satisfied me. It's not Deus Ex. It's its own thing, but at the same time is an awkward prequel.
Yes and the Directors Cut aloud you to nonlethal bosses so it was a definite improvement
dumb console plebs. imagine not being to able to reshade.
it aint no original Deus Ex
the removal of leaning leaning was annoying, but the fact that they replaced it with a cover system that goes to the third person infuriates me. along with the removal of lockpicks and multitools. at least invisible war had multitools.
the atmosphere in detroit didnt feel very deus exish to me either, it felt more like VTMB, but the atmosphere was no where near as strong as it was in that game.
also, the track that plays for detroit wouldnt feel too out of place on the vtmb soundtrack.
