I actually bought some Monster and got semi-addicted because of Death Stranding. Yes I am ashamed. I never drank energy drink before. Despised it actually.
It all stopped though when I had some sort of panic attack/body breakdown caused by it and felt like I was dying for like 2 hours.

I don't understand this stuff at all. Either you want it cold and don't want to dilute it, so you keep it in the fridge. You want it cold but you are okay with diluting it so you throw in a couple of ice cubes in the glass. Or you don't care. Wine and whiskey both have a property of coldness covering flaws, but also strengths, and heat exposing both the flaws and strengths. You only drink a wine or whiskey cold is if it was intentionally designed that way, or it's just a really shitty wine or whiskey and you have to drink it anyway, so you might as well make it as pleasant as possible.
If you want to respect the craftsmanship you need to drink your wines and whiskeys at room temp, end of discussion.

I read some bad reviews as well as some negative ones but I'm legitimately enjoying this Japanese Iwai Mars whiskey. Normally if I'm feeling cheap my go-too is a rye called Old Overholt, which I'm fond of usually, but they changed the formula and packaging just recently and it doesn't taste the same anymore. Still fine for the price.
If you want something more expensive you can't go wrong with Angel's Envy, if you can find it anywhere (it's worth it). You can also try the classic Johnny Walker Black Label, which has a smokiness drawn out by splashing a little water into it, or by adding an ice cube or two.
