I didn’t like zombies after they start forcing you to jump through hoops for shit in 3 and 4. BO2 had it best. Complex enough that it took some time to get set up, but simple enough that most players can remember the steps.

BO1 kinda hinted at the CIA being some shady characters, what with the feeding a suspect shards of glass scene and all, would be very cool to see what they do next, though an extended stay in the jungle and mountainous environments would be welcome as I think the classic 'nam scenes were few in number first time around
BO2 was already too ridiculous, Ascension was the last good zombies map

I grew tired of MW due to a couple of things that I have seen a ton of other people complain about as well. Shitty maps, unpredictable spawn systems, completely broken SBMM, piss poor netcode, really boring weapon meta, insanely fast TTK, gunfire not showing on map, etc.

Everything about the game is just meant to cater to the lowest common denominator and based around making sure that everyone feels included and good. The combination of shitty maps + shitty netcode + low TTK makes it possible for literally anyone to be decent at this game. It's also the reason why a ton of people who used to be 3-4 KDA in previous games are now sitting on 2 KDA. You can't play aggressively anymore.

If the new game has a different take on ANY of these things, I'd happily jump ship and play that instead.

Just play Ground War, it's the only mode I play. It's basically just Battlefield since Dice seems incapable of making a good one anymore.

I think Activision only cares about sales. I doubt they care about the reputation of themselves or any of the underling companies that makes the games. As long as the end product is good and sells well, that's all that matters to them.
