i just beat it for the first time. i loved it.

my only problem is that, yeah, the backtracking can be annoying (since you cant drop stuff), and sometimes enemies can kill you even on 'fine'.

Play RE2 remake its actual horror but not boring

gameplay is boring because it's barebones and combat is so mind numbing (I did not expect this from a mikami game) you're better off dodging braindead zombies not to preserve ammo but your patience

I'm of that variety actually. The RE2 Remake improved over the original in the most important aspect: gameplay. This is not a complaint about fixed cameras or tank controls, which I actually like, but more about how the original was just too damn easy and there wasn't enough strategy and decision making involved compared to the remake. I also believe the original 1 is better than REmake, which added a lot of unnecessary bullshit and removed the charm of the original game.
