Why yes I too enjoy a fresh toast while I'm killing fiends and death knights in Quake, how could you tell

>turbo button
I hate that they called it that.

turn that turbo mode on dude

I love it

>turbo button
>on
Ask me how I know you're a zoomer

>turbo
>it actually slows the clock of the cpu
what did they mean by this

not everyone who used a computer at the time knew which way around turbo mode worked, half of them just thought pressing the magic button would make your 386 game go sanic.

I first played Quake on N64 in 2009.

How do you even remember what year it was?

I remember playing pacman and duke nukem on floppy disks but I sure as shit don't remember the year accurately

@ 1 frame per second.
watching the grenade bounce around and light up areas was magical.
then i went back to duke3d and RotT because my 486DX actually ran them

Based. ROTT is pretty cool

I want this computer right now

For me, it's Heretic

Which is wrong because it's the opposite.

Based and 2dspritepilled

1998 was a good year

I did but in 1999 and I still have that pc. I have been doing quake 3 since 2000 and still play defrag mode in it weekly

yes, but you are wrong, because you said was a zoomer for not knowing something that most people didn't know at the time

I had a computer that had the proper Turbo wiring. Turbo on was 133MHz and Turbo off was 100MHz. Blessed Pentium

My parents had friends in another town and when we'd go to visit them the guy had the alien mod for Doom and it was the greatest fucking thing.

OK boomer

I was born in 1996.

Boomers are more than 60 or 70 yo. Also your meme sucks

My TUV-4X Motherboard won't run my Voodoo3 card. I though AGP Pro could play 2x cards.

Do I have to fiddle with some jumper settings? I'm scared of shorting something out.

Playing games at friends was the comfiest thing imaginable

Read the manual or you can fry your CPU

i still remember the turtle icon taunting my shitty computer during the demo ;-;

I wasn't even born in 1996.

I first played Quake on my DS
The Quake 2 port requires RAM expansion so I never played it. The first one lagged really bad at parts too.

Sorry, I was busy playing good games

DAMNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN

That's a nice toaster you have here I unironically like it

I did but I don't know what they mean? If I set the voltage to 3.6, what does that mean for my PCI components?
