Why does Retroarch make people so salty?
Why does Retroarch make people so salty?
Because for most of the emulators people use, it's a bad option.
Why do people start threads with the intention of starting an argument?
Because it's unnecessary
>spend 30 minutes set up emulators through awful unnecessary PS3 GUI when you can set up a normal emulator in 1 minute
I wonder why
Because it's a shitty user-hostile piece of shit riding on other people's hard work.
If the actual UI wasn't complete and utter fucking shit, it just MAYBE might be worth using but NAAAAH.
The fucking leeches who came up with RA need to be fucking executed
because it filters the brainlets
>PS3 GUI
only one option that isn't even the default anymore.
Too stupid to figure out how to install a core.
The bane of emulation is double digit IQ retards not knowing what they're doing. All problems can be stemmed to them.
Just by virtue of the PS3 option being the standard for so long, all other menu options are very similar, the only difference is the visual change but the menus are the same, if they truly want to get away from xmb they need to change their menus.
>Click Download Core
>Select a Core
>Profit
confusing ui
>the gui is SHIT!!!!!!
I bet you can't get your head around tank controls either, smoothbrain.
Because it unnecessarily complicates things especially for mobile gaming. All I want is to make an overlay work for my 18.5:9 phone. And for navigation to select shaders and overlay actually appear in the right places.
because fuck mobile gamers
Hey, I want to play portables. But I don't want to carry around the consoles that give fewer features than an emulator.
I don't have complaints with RA on Vita.
The UI is a total clusterfuck and it barely works on mobile.
>30 minutes set up emulators (plural)
>set up a normal emulator in 1 minute (singular)
Wow such logic
I hope that people who mention mobile have some sort of peripheral with buttons. You can't seriously use the devil spawn that is touchscreen overlays.
I don't like all the emulators being in the same place because it reduces individual performance. e.g. An SNES emulator will run better when the GUI is meant only for itself instead of being bloated and badly designed. Same reason why I dislike Higan, which categorically and undeniably runs worse than any of its parts.
What do you mean by this?
RetroArch is one of the most convenient emulator out there besides mednafen.
You don't understand, it's the SNOY interface! We must hate it. Encapsulated menus are too hard of a concept to grasp.
>Download Retroarch
>Download bios pack and extract it into the system folder kutt dot it / retroarchbios
>Download roms/isos from the no-intro/redump sets on archive.org, or don't, Retroarch can now detect your shitty roms with the manual scan
>Scan the folders
>???
>Profit
Yeah, they need to improve the overlay system, they are made for 16:9 and look stretched if your screen has a different aspect ratio.
>barely works on mobile
Works on my machine
You have no idea of what you're talking about
>An SNES emulator will run better when the GUI is meant only for itself
you're a moron
>Duckstation
>PCSX2
>Dolphin
>VBA
>desmume
>Citra
>Yuzu
>Kega Fusion
>Nestopia
>snes
>10 minutes
learn how to math, dumbass
You need an iq above 90 to use it properly, it's not as easy as say Zsnes, which a lot of plebs still use because "it just werks"
I've come to the realization that Retroarch is the best IQ test ever invented
Retroarch is still too easy compared to Mednafen
Use mednaffe. Much better than the likes of medgui we had to deal with in the past.
>t. seething retroarch fans
I tried using it to run PS1 games and it kept giving me crashes and errors so I deleted it and used Duckstation instead and I got zero problem with it so far
Because it's about centralization and ease of use while featuring anti-logic GNUtard UI design.
