Why do games no longer feel like adventures...

Why do games no longer feel like adventures? I don't think I have played a JRPG of the quality of something like skies of arcadia in the past 10 years.

Unironically try smoking weed before you play.

Xenoblade 2 is litteraly ''it's comfy adventure time with our bro group in a cool world to explore'' akin to Skies of Arcadia though. It's the only game that made me feel that way since I played SoA back then. Before that, it's was FFIX.

I played it and it made me feel miserable.

Well what kind of JRPG do you want? Something fun? Something serious? Or just something good in general?

Xenoblade 2 and X, etrian Odyssey

What game is this

Unironically only WRPGs do that nowadays

Utawarerumono: Mask of Truth

Underwaterrayromano

Is the series worth getting into?

Doesn't that get expensive?

I've never really been a fan; there's much better SRPGs out there. But if you're a coomer then you'll like it.

Because jrpgs are now about bedding partners and not adventures

It's mainly a VN and not a SRPG though.

y

Yeah so it's mainly trash.

There are so many games that are generic adventures that now a lot of games try to do something else.

People are saying Xeno 2, but honestly any xenoblade will scratch that itch. The biggest appeal of 2s adventure is that Rex is younger and was a salvaging bumpkin before being called to be a hero. In terms of sheer raw connected area to explore X is the move. For more cities and towns go with 2. For story, music, and scenery, go with the OG.

I played xenoblade chronicles 2 and it was so bad I don't want to play another game in the series.

I haven't gotten around to them yet, but aren't DQ11 and Ni no Kuni 2 exactly that?

I meant GOOD games obviously.

I only played the original but it had great characters and an interesting story/setting.

It's not like you have anything better to do with your time anyways.

yeah
>tfw you will never have an adventure

But user, xenoblade 1 is good. Don't listen to Zig Forums. It's one of the best RGPs I've played in years.

I've enjoyed it for the most part, but once you get down to 1-3 blade pulls, the gatcha system becomes a pain in the ass. The biggest thing I've enjoyed so far is that they included elma and the overdrive mechanic. I love that damn theme.

Only if you "smoke erryday" which i don't recommend. A little weed on the weekends before a long gaming session is both relaxing and harmless.

>gacha grind in an offline single player game that wasn't even done to sell mtx
I honestly don't know what they were smoking.

Japanese are prone to gambling addiction. Even without any stakes or tangible rewards, they find it fun.

What compels you to shitpost? Did you really live you entire life and accumulate all those different experiences to ultimately culminate in being just a shitposter out of all the possible things you could have become?

Actual seething.

This makes sense to me. What's irritating is it's not even for rare ones. The ones I have left are ursula, the green exhibitionist, and parcival. I just want to get them before I finish the game so I have some story time left to fill out their charts, but I'm already at chapter 8.
