>RPG character customization
>Guns, speech, lockpicking
why am I like this
RPG character customization
Because that's almost always the best combination of skills.
>guns, speech, lockpicking
>not speech, lockpicking and hacking
You're a cowardly so-and-so
Seriously, I can't actually think of a game where speech is not the most important or top 3 most important skill in the game. It just always fucking is
I always have to take all those cause I don't wanna get locked out of content.
>rpg
>has no pacifist path
I am the same, honestly I think its just wanting to be prepared for anything. I like being a jack-of-all-trades, and usually you'll have enough points to master a few skills.
based jack of all trades chad
>the virgin master of none
>the chad highly specialized expert
>frogposter
>Zig Forums
>low combat skill makes fights tougher but always doable
>low enough utility-skill straight out locks you out of quests/zones/etc.
>A jack of all trades is a master of none, but oftentimes better than a master of one
It's hard being a universalist as you get older. When I was younger (e.g. college), I had time to study topics in depth. But as I've gotten older, I'm pretty much only a mathematician.
What's the worst example of this? Fallout 1 and 2?
>Just roll tag skills and roleplay character around that
>Explosives, Barter, Survival
>low combat skills basically makes most fights unwinnable
>low enough utility-skill straight out locks you out of quests/zones/etc.
Welcome to Age of Decadence. It's a very radical view on how stat rpg should function, but I respect that.
>tfw you keep barter as low as possible because the economy is already broken enough
>leveling speech/CHA so you can avoid playing the game
why?
Whats the best way to farm out the event?
Wrong board
Would you rather have the opposite?
>play RPG
>Grab lock picking because it's usually meta
>Turns out to be an entire waste mastering
>Mages can make magic keys that work for everything
>They get this skill at the start of the game.
>Meanwhile grug can literally just smash his way through any lock by hitting it with his axe
Hey bud when you do a pure explosives run you take every fucking cap you can get, especially early game where you are scrounging for dynamite and food to add to your wasteland barbeques.
Are low speech retard runs in Fallout 1 and 2 actually fun or just a novelty for five minutes?
ah-bloo-bloo
Yes. Get fucked thieffags
And while we're at it, make mages better at being a warrior by using defense spells
Don't remember it much from FO1 but it's very fun in FO2 if you already played through the game
That’s literally only fallout though.
its in a lot of crpgs
Guns and lockpicking at the same time?
wasteland 2 did it
So Fallout and its clones
