The only game that required clawing was MH3U and the WiiU port was ABSOLUTE DOGSHIT.
I didn't realize just how bad it was until i played it on a 3DSXL with a Pro Grip and realized the input lag and the visuals were on a completely other level on 3DS and the WiiU port was thrown together in a rus and held with sticks, spit and glue.

Any game where you have a reason to use the analog stick together with the buttons gives you a reason to claw.
That's most shooters, and in Bloodstained for example you have to claw of you want to aim your projectiles while jumping around.
There's just no purpose to having your controller layout like that, you don't gain anything, only lose.

Believe it or not but that's how modern controller should be. Sticks on top, buttons and dpad on the bottom.

You only like the other methods because you forced yourself to learn them because Sony never designed a proper controller for the PS1 and Microsoft just took what Sega had made and also stuck to not designing a better controller scheme.

Nintendo designs a controller and then they make games that take advantage of that controller so it feels fresher than the previous generation.

The sticks on top are basically for playing 3D camera games and fps. The dpad and buttons right across from each other on the bottom provide a perfect set up for 2D and classic games.

Nintendo had to go back to the Sega style placement because it's the thing low IQ retards such as yourself are most comfortable with. It's difficult to convice players to try the new controller when the Wii U sold so poorly that almost no nobody has touched the system.

And now these top tier Wii U controllers are so scarce and expensive.

I can't have shit taste if I know the Wii U Pro controller is the best design and layout we've had so far. I use the Steam Controller, DS4, and Switch Pro on PC all the time, yet still understand that the Wii U Pro just has a much better design. Even the steam controller is a bit similar with the two pads on top and the dpad substituted for a control stick. The only reason I don't use the UPro on PC is because it lacks gyro.

you should never have to adjust your camera and press a face button at the same time in a console game. if you do you'd be better off with a mouse & kb. Symmetrical sticks have a more comfortable hand position when you're using both sticks at once, allowing the right hand easier access to the right shoulder buttons. I have an injury on my right hand so my control over my right thumb is weaker than normal, needing to reach a little less makes a difference for me.

Top sticks give the hands a perfect resting place since your thumbs will just go down for the dpad and buttons much easier. Imagine playing Katamari with the fucked up 360 layout of asymmetrical sticks (yeah I did, I have that game) and Katamari in a PlayStation controller is also bad because the sticks are so close to each other unlike the WiiU top sticks being spaced apart so much. It's just a very comfy controller. People who say it's shit either hate Nintendo or refuse to try better controllers and choose to stick with their default set up.
