I tried Monster Train but It just feels extremely repetitive to me.

I'd like characters to visually progress as your deck gets stronger.

If you have mostly Strength/attack cards, when entering Act 2 you look bulkier. If you have mostly defensive/dexterity cards, you get a bigger suit of armor.

It kinda lacks animations and sounds imo, in STS every attack has a different sound effect heck even the relics have some not just npc souless numbers.

that can all be easily added into the base game. you just want an excuse to consume

Monster train is fun and definitely worth the buy. However I still prefer spire.
also the ascension thing in monster train where every fight a random floor gets -1 capacity is absolute cancer, it should be a specific floor for the rest of the run so there isn't such variance that can just fuck you over completely because of a dice roll

You can put examples like a Catalyst + burst deck, but in how many runs are you going to be able to build such a deck up? You need a rare card + an uncommon + sources of poison. You cannot rely on getting your ideal setup in a run. And silent is very unreliable in that aspect since most of her other cards have lackluster damage and her defense cannot put up with A20 damage.

What I mean is, when I play Ironclad/Defect/Watcher, I am not worried about which cards I get because there are always good options. With Silent, if I don't get a source of early damge (Predator/Unload/etc) I'm fucking dead.

Silent struggles with act 1 elites compared with the others yeah but I'd say Defect is much more reliant on finding focus than Silent is on finding poison

I have enjoyed Monster Train but I don't like how runs are too reliant of synergies between artefacts/cards/monsters. It leaves you at the mercy of RNG too much.

I agree A20 silent is rough without some good synergies going, whether it's relics or good cards however I can't really debate on if she's truly shit or not because I'm only good at her and defect on A20 and an absolute brainlet playing the other two while for others watcher is god

Yeah half the game is decided in the first circle, in StS you have lots more chances to turn the game in your favor.

How many hours do you A20 chads have? I'm at A6 with every character at 120 hours.

392 hours, I've had 100% achievements since I think 280 or something though and play every once in a while now
