>When push comes to shove, the PlayStation brand should have one focus: making sure that their consumers, fans, and audience have the best place to play. Whether you are playing the games on PS4 or PS5, there is no doubt that Sony is building value to your console purchase and investment in their ecosystem. Why should they have to cater to the gaming audience at large?
>When I buy a gaming console, it isn’t just a purchase into a plastic box that will serve games to my TV — it is a vote of confidence in a broader ecosystem and the community at large. When I started this generation with my PS4, it was because Sony had expertly crafted a narrative that their system would be the best place to play games, instead of being an all-around media device.
>Since then, Xbox has done a great job smoothing over their early PR nightmares (thanks to the stewardship of Phil Spencer). In my opinion, through services like Xbox Game Pass and Backward Compatibility they have been making all the right moves. But with the next generation in sight, people have to make up their mind on which console they will buy first. Has Xbox made a strong enough case to the gamer audience at large?
>PS5 Exclusive Content Is a Good Thing I mean, it's a good think for PS5. That's why people buy consoles, unless you've got some kidn of interesting gimmick (switch) you want exclusives, that's the entire point, isn't it? Even on the Switch, wich is mostly selling due to the portability angle and being the de facto modern indie machine, exclusives are very important.
I don't think "exclusives are a good thing for this console" should be an especially controversial statement, it's a self evident truth.
What legit drives a person, or i guess a person making a bot, to do these threads. Its not even subtle or trying to discuss shit
Cooper Flores
Snoygroids are the applefags of vidya. Complete sheep who will buy inferior products because of a logo.
Robert Cox
This is fucking stupid. Buying up exclusives doesn't make the user experience any better, it just forces people interested in that property to use the platform. It's like if Burger King brought out all the chicken in the US, and McDonald's could no longer serve it. Burger King doesn't have better service, a better seating area, or better prices, but a high degree of market control ensures them patronage based on them serving chicken. The anti-consumer extreme of this is the point at which a platform no longer sees the need to try to improve their user experience, since they can exist solely by buying up as many exclusives as they can, therefore ensuring patronage, like Steam.
Samuel Reed
>Snoygroids are the applefags of vidya. No, that would be Nintendicklet Nintendicksuckers. Sonygroids are Sonygroids
Evan Baker
How much were they paid by Sony to make this article?
It's not even a good thing for Playstation owners and you have to be a retarded fanboy to believe otherwise. Every dollar Sony burns to keep games out of other platforms is money that would be better spent funding some new games. It's a lose-lose for literally everybody.
Elijah Ortiz
>no mlb the show >no gravity rush >no last guardian >no gran turismo >no vanillaware >no persona 5
I'm pretty sure Sony wants you off the PS4 as fast as possible.
Camden Adams
>exclusive content >pro-consumer what
Adrian Diaz
OP is a bot, are you are all partaking in a bot/shill thread.
Ethan Martin
Nah bitch. When the ps5 has no usp like the switch’s portability or xbox’s crossbuy for pc, shackling games to your shitty underpowered pc is forcing consumers to use your shitbox for a game they would otherwise play on an objectively superior platform like their actual pc or even an xbox. This is not a good thing for consumers
Ryan Flores
Atleast apple knows how to design a function OS lmao. PS4’s menu is so fucking laggy, clunky, and unresponsive. It’s maddening trying to use the ps store
Justin Nelson
Remember how great the PS4 exclusive content was for Destiny where the exclusive strikes simply wouldn't come into rotation
Ayden Phillips
>he thinks weebshit is quality
Leo Clark
AMERICAN THREAD?
Luke Clark
the thing is, i don't give a fuck if i a game is exclusive or not. if all the best exclusive games became multiplat, i wouldn't care. however, it's always the sony fanboys that go apeshit when one of their ps4 exclusives becomes multiplat.
Blake Scott
Good for who? Definitely not for customers.
Logan King
Friendly reminder that only corporate bootlickers defends exclusivity
Gavin Kelly
so americans
Cameron James
Why is the future of Snoy so pozzed and shitty?
Landon Lee
He's right though. It is a good thing for consoles, just not for their consumer base.
Matthew Rodriguez
>he thinks his tranny movies are quality Dilate
Nicholas Howard
We'll send you our used ones when were done with them. Just like our shoes and shirts. You're welcome.

>When push comes to shove, the PlayStation brand should have one focus: making sure that their consumers, fans, and audience have the best place to play.
This sentence makes little sense if you put any sort of logic to it, and reads like something a cultist would say,
Tell me Sony fanboys, how does other people not being able to play a game affect your experience. Think hard before you answer. Serious question here.
You would still get to play these games if they were multiplatform anyway. So how does being locked to one particular eco system benefit you in any way?
There is nothing wrong with console exclusive content. Stop being poor.
Samuel Richardson
Horizon isn't exclusive
Nathaniel Perry
You come at it like the content would be there and Sony paid to keep it off the Xbox or PC, The case with spiderman in the avengers the money was doled out to create that content for the playstation. Sony paying money so I as a consumer of their product is awesome for me and I love that they do it. I don't really care if Xbox does it or they don't it doesn't affect me. It seems everyone wants the content that Sony provides for their consumers but they don't hold Phil's feet to the fire and keep telling him he is doing a great job.
Evan Lewis
>its okay when sony does it
Juan Rodriguez
>Epic brings consolewar faggotry to PC >Sony brings Epic faggotry to console
>Produce console that's literally a gimped PC with no unique and useful features. >Only reason anyone would even consider purchasing your subpar machine would be exclusives >Make exclusives Checks out.
Jace King
So playing movie and weebs games is chad now? lol snoy
Jose Taylor
Too bad the ps4 had no games
Isaac Watson
It'd be nice if Sony made some worthwhile content for their console, unfortunately they haven't succeeded for the last 5 years.
Ian Foster
PC: > Free games > Playable retro games > Exclusive strategy games > Free online > Porn games
Do people even care about Days Gone anymore? I also notice that The Order 1886 is forgotten.
Samuel Clark
You should make your product the best place to play a game, not hold it hostage. It should be: On our console it looks and works better, not; its the only place to play it. Thats like making a movie exclusive to a vhs player and say it's the best way to watch.
How can it be "anti-consumer" when you aren't consuming their products? If anything its ultra pro consumer, they're funding and moneyhatting games just for their audience. That's the most pro consumer thing a company has ever done
Hudson Foster
>wich is mostly selling due to the portability angle and being the de facto modern indie machine
It sells because people like to play Nintendo games
Aaron Clark
what are the games #1-#7 and #9-#11? bloodborne was mediocre it was the only reason i played my son's console. i know the first one is the tranny game genuinely curious, not trying to rip on you for playing video games on a children's machine.
So in other words burger king is looking out for it's customers by providing something that McDonalds cannot.
All you Sony is anti consumer retards are hopelessly delusional. Sony is taking care of their customer base and ensuring investing in a PS5 is worth while. Xbox is doing the opposite which is why I won't be purchasing a Series X. All I need is my PC, Switch, and a PS5.
Chase Kelly
Why can’t Sony just make a high-end console that can put high-end PCs to shame instead?
