Has a video game ever made you cry?
Has a video game ever made you cry?
I cried at how bad the ending to this game was.
You have this cool premise, and then you end it with "lol, you died. Nothing you did mattered. Here's some random people to play you the song of their people".
Great, thanks.
>banjo music intensifies
That one and ghost trick
The new big bang got some tear-up out of me
beyond two souls made me cry when she was talking to that bums dead wife
>Here's some random people to play you the song of their people".
nigger what
did you never go talk to any of the other travelers
how the fuck did you even manage that
Yeah, something tells me you missed the point of the ending.
If you cry from a video game you’re a bitch
i cry when i hear prelude from final fantasy
Yeah, I talked to them, they have like 5 lines of dialogue.
You don't suddenly become friends with people over 5 lines of dialogue.
What about all your bros back on Timberhearth, do they not get to spend time with you whilst you're dying?
End of Season One of The Walking Dead
How do you miss the point this badly
The last guardian, this dude is a faggot btw
Rain World's ending sequence made me cry. It felt like a psychedelic trip.
Explain it then.
> I talked to them, they have like 5 lines of dialogue
You're actually braindead. They get more dialog options as you do different shit. For example, Chert's dialog completely changes depending on how close the sun is to exploding.
Also, they're supposed to know you and the other Hearthinians beforehand regardless. You can tell the people at Timberhearth where Feldspar is after you find him, and they'll want to start a rescue operation. There's even a secret interaction where if you jump into the core of the ATP right before the sun explodes, you can talk with a time duplicate of yourself and get even more insight into your past and relationships with the other characters.
Ending of the last guardian got me in the feels just cause it was one of the few games I actually enjoyed the last decade and played to completion. You guys always shit on it but I had a good time.
>Nothing you did mattered
user literally the only fucking reason the universe was reborn was because you were their to witness it
Yes, feels pretty good not being fully emotionally stumped, even after years of internet
... yes
We're talking about the end of the game user.
I don't give a fuck what random explorer 5626 on planet bumblefuck who's been sitting on his ass for 5 years just because he can play the fucking harmonica.
Does anyone have a remix to the song they played in the ending of this game? I thought it was a great tune but the actual instrument playing could be done much better.
Check out outer wilds reprise
I'd play more Outer Wilds but I got so sick of landing the fucking ship.
That shit was nervewracking man. I absolutely got hit in the feels, trico is my boi
Why a indie game made by 7 people is better than a AAA game with a team of 1000 members?
Outer Wilds got so tedious by the end that I didn't give a shit about the characters nor the worlds, I just wanted to complete it so I could delete it from my HD
Because most AAA publishers are too afraid to take risks in case it doesn't sell. Indie devs have more creative freedom
I'm so fucking stuck on this game it's killing me so much, I thought I'd start with Giants Deep and go from there but I'm stumped, somebody directed me to his game from Obra Dinn and honestly it's making me want to cry.
>Create an entirely new universe, that uses your subjective experiences as a foundation
>"Nothing I did mattered"
But bro, it's so deeeeep. It made me cry when I had to scan my translator over random text written on a wall for the 500th time.
How do I land on the Sun station?
>Learning some about the sun station
>Oh this might be why the sun is exploding, I bet I can fix it. Stupid aliens
>finally find out how to get there
>Learn it never worked and that the sun is just dying
>Learn the time loop was supposed to happen countless years ago, but the sun exploding has finally kickstarted it
>Begin to realize that every star is exploding and the universe is dying. There's nothing you can do to save it, you are just a single person
>Despair
Ur actually fucking retarded of you thought in your head you would enjoy this game lol. What a fucking dipshit FAGGOT
Life Is Strange made me ugly cry.
This. I couldn’t even finish the game. I knew what I had to do for 7 hours but couldn’t piece it together in the 15 minutes. So it was continually restarting over and over trying to get the ending. Got old very fast. Also I didn’t even know the journal existed so I was using the map hints the whole time and that was a massive pain alongside revisiting where I remember related hints were and relistening to the audio logs. Apparently the journal is necessary lol
I too can say random shit that never comes up in the game and claim it's part of the ending.
The entire ending is just the final firing of your consciousness as you die.
