Psychiatric medicine isn't a meme, it's just prescribed way too frequently. There are at least a couple million people in the US alone that could probably get away with not taking them if they simply dieted, went on long walks/exercised, and didn't masturbate multiple times per day.

No but you are. If you actually live in America you'd know exactly how American buildings are made. They start by making a frame out of 2x4s, then they cover it with drywall (e.g. essentially cardboard), then paint it, throw some roof and siding on the outside, and you've got yourself a house. They're built a lot cheaper, which is a double edged sword because it also means American houses are larger, and newer on average, with up to date safety code and amenities like AC that Euros lack in their 300 year old brick shacks with roof height for dwarves. As an American, I'll take my 1700 sqft 15 year old cardboard house with AC, no lead paint, up to date safety code, etc. over a supposedly "higher quality" ancient Euroshack.
