Microsoft Opens xCloud Game Streaming Beta Early Tomorrow
Who?
they debuted touch controls today, and they are broken as fuck
as much as I like xcloud, it is not ready for prime time, and in a way it is expected, to drive more sales to the next gen
stadia>gfn>>>>>>>>>>xcloud in terms of tech
in terms of better deal? xcloud>gfn>>>>stadia
When is it coming out for Windows PC? Hurry the fuck up
that's touch controls
Touch controls are alright but most people will use peripherals or a controller for console games. It is just an added benefit.
Please, streaming games to my laptop had been maximum comfy
Touch controls were added 2 weeks ago for hellblade. For other games it is not there yet.
>cope bots living up to the meme they are all children
haha.
and that is exactly why I think they are adding them to every game as that next update
Possibly, I think in the next update it will be put in a lot of games but not all of them since it is up to the individual developer to use them.
they have already send an email talking about the alpha closing in september
i highly doubt a windows client will debut any time soon
not that I don't want to, i would love to use one, but IMO the functionality overlaps the current gamepass and may confuse users
GFN has been garbage lately; games keep getting removed, frequent stutters due to Nvidia's shitty drivers, games always loading in low-quality mode, always having to log in, et cetera. It's like they're trying to kill it.
I sadly agree
I'm still a founder, but I am considering pulling the plug. Only staying for Hitman, 2bh
having the capcom games removed was a huge hit
but to be fair, they just added Steam library integration, at least
Is there any website that tells you in what countries this service is available? Usually stuff like this can only be used in America, I wanna' know if that's true or not.
Xbox is a failed brand.
Does this work on PC?
nvm found it
theverge.com
>It’s launching in 22 countries next month, including Austria, Belgium, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Spain, South Korea, Sweden, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
DAMN
>not a single south american country included
>XCloud will be available via Game Pass Ultimate in 22 countries at launch, and those are as follows: Austria, Belgium, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Spain, South Korea, Sweden, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
They are launching only on Android for now. Well, if they can get the latency to work properly on smartphones over wifi, on PC it will probably be a dream.
am i going crazy, or is Nintendo going to use their infrastructure for their cloud crap? I think I read something like that before covid hit
Thanks anyway, you're a pal.
I feel you, I'm surprised as shit that Hungary gets this.
xcloud is a better deal, that's the point. xcloud will become the overall best when they install series x server blades for cloud gaming and it is the most capable streaming hardware.
Yea playstation and nintendo at some point in the future will be using cloud gaming most likely next gen with Azure servers. I think both companies are starting to make deals for it.
In my honest opinion, the huge removal from GFN is because Amazon is bribing everybody for their cloud service
they can release a full fledged solution in a matter of days, because they are the legit kings of cloud and streaming
a cloud service connected to twitch, called Prime Gaming, included in prime, will break the market, lads
man, they should have used xbox one x silicon in their servers to start instead of xbox one s. might as well give people the best experience possible.
Yep Amazon will be insane but if it is like Stadia and releases unfinished on launch date then it's reputation will be permanently scarred just like the Stadia device. But if it is a success it will change the gaming industry as we know it because they can advertise their cloud hardware on the Amazon website.
Thinking about their current strengths:
>microsoft
they have the install base, so they can obliterate steam in terms of download and install videogames
>amazon
cloud all the way. the twitch games library is garbage as it is, and hardly noticed by many
>google
they just need to push stadia on mobile thanks to android. the service works better than anyone else, but people seems to don't understand you don't need any device to play
Nvidia doesn't even treat the games it has well. Ubisoft (a studio that actually likes GFN) games are unplayable right now due to bad drivers, with huge lag spikes unrelated to bandwidth.
>there are people in this thread right now who actually fell for google's stadia scam
LMAO
i loved the launch gfn because I would install and test whatever game in minutes
now it is pretty much trash
having to deal with what games you can use or not, what launcher... it is a disaster, 2bh
Yep it's going to be between Microsoft, Amazon, Apple and maybe something China comes up with because I think google already ruined their reputation from it and it will be hard for them to recover
>Apple and maybe something China
Holy shit you people know nothing
what do you know, frogposter?
