Other way around. V3 is consistent. 2 has great trials (2-1, 2-4, and 2-5) and horrible trials (2-2 is bad, 2-3 is the worst)

if youre a fan of the series, yes. despite its shitty ending it did a lot of things pretty well. it shouldve just been self contained.
2-2 isnt bad but i would say that v3 is fairly consistent

2 is the worst one in the series. It’s only carried by Nagito that’s literally all there is.

Did the series lower your standards so much that you actually consider the flying heap of shit that is the third "game" decent?
Characters are worse, writing is worse and it's even more degenerate than before.

what 2 lacks in setting it makes up for in its characters and some of the best trials in the series (2-4, 2-5). the only characters that could be considered below decent in 2 are mikan and teruteru really, maybe akane or something.

Not really. Case 1 is one of the most cleverly written trials in the series, and Case 6 does a much better job at culminating the themes of the game without going too far into anime bullshit.

And even if you think the middle trials aren't as good, they're no where near as bad as the lesser trials in the previous games.

Its opening and ending would have been much better if they were shorter. Too damn long.

Ok listen, 2-5 was a really good trial, but that doesn’t excuse the fact pretty much every other trial is meh at best and downright bad at worst (like 2-3). Not only that, but the atmosphere shift compared to 1, and hell even v3, is completely jarring and way too wacky for its own good.

Lol ok, I think DR2 is one of the few games where I didn’t give a shit about or was outright annoyed by over half of its cast. Most of them were so one note it was actually painful to deal with them.

I cannot stress just how much of a slog it was to get through 2’s ending. Yea V3’s Chapter 6 trial can drag out a bit, but 2 just ramps up the cheesiness and hamminess to the point where I just wanted it to be over and done with. Also, haha it’s just a simulation dude.
