You have to heal someone with the right outfit. I've been ubered and run into the enemy lines with the GRU only to have the chain broken and utterly fucked on occasion. I don't regret those deaths. It's better to throw caution to the wind and recklessly attack, otherwise to collaborate and stay grouped with your allies.

90% of the time teams get steam rolled because no one is playing the team like a team game. When I play engineer I see this a lot, nobody is supporting my buildings that is holding the front line, nobody looks out for eachother, gibus medics always pocket the soldier with the most expensive cosmetics, spies just blindly run at the enemy team with absolutely no plan, pyros just hold W at the enemy team and get shot down instantly.

The playerbase has definitely become worse over the years which is kind of unusual for a game this old. What used to be common sense seems to be confined to a tiny minority of players now, even in community servers.
