Maybe, they're the trio I'm probably the least interested in (except for needing an aqua gf right now pls) but they could maybe do some unique stuff with it being set in the Realm of Darkness since that place hasn't really been explored much and they kind of have to build on and explore their characters a bit better, so what better place to do it. It would also be cool if they did something pretty different with the gameplay structure, maybe have all three of them in the party and you can freely swap between them to coordinate attacks, or fuck it try making it a multiplayer focused dungeon crawler, aiming to realize the potential the previous multiplayer modes of Days and BBS had but with combat and mechanics that actually work well together since they've somewhat figured that out now.

Why did Aqua resort to martial arts against Ansem SoD? She showed the ability to cast magic without a keyblade in BBS. Was it because KH3 brought back the MP bar and she was OOM? Arbitrarily stopza had resource limitation in KH3 with Mickey about to use it but Riku mentioning he shouldn't

It was good, though. You got yourself hyped up before you either forgot or never realized in the first place how every KH game works. KH3's strengths were

>combat that's better than BBS/3D/Days but not quite as good as 1/2 (at least not until the Re:Mind update with the extra combo modifiers, which I'd say put it about equal with KH1's combat mechanics)
But the story pacing was the worst of the series, many of the worlds were only a little less empty than KH2's despite the bigger size, there was no new original world and Twilight Town was a fucking joke, and pretty much every opportunity for fanservice was wasted. It had heavy problems, like every KH game.
Really, the most promising part of KH3 was that the DLC had better bosses than all of KH2, a world which felt like something straight out of KH1 but with KH3's scale, and Nomura plot insanity that was some of the best and most hilarious shit in the series. If they can carry that kind of quality to the next proper game, it'll be the best in the series.

Yes, I agree; that's why I mentioned opportunities for fanservice.
Except for the part where Roxas shows up and beats the living shit out of Saix to a remix of his theme. That was one of the best payoffs in the series and they really should have carried that further by having Roxas help you fight Xemnas or Xehanort.

It's pretty much agreed that KH1 was self contained since Square didn't know if the game would sell. Then Nomura tacked on all the new stuff later. Still don't get the point of retroactively saying Ansem was a fake. Maybe Nomura made Xeonuart later and just wanted to shoehorn him to say he was there all along
