Skyrim
Tekken
Some weapons in the Souls Series, but at high level in each installment you're inevitably stuck with tacky looking paddle-sword, five ton mace shit.
>skyrim
>when everything outside of iron swords exists
standard straight swords are the meta
In 3, they are.
Exanima. The next update will add a procedural weapons system, so weapons have a quality rating, different handle and blade lengths, etc.
It also has flails.
This, what the fuck.
Literally everything, and I fucking mean everything in the fucking Elder scrolls games looks like tacky, made-in-china, flea market stand, cheap stainless steel
Some of the Nordic weapons were alright
The Nordic steel weapons were skin cancer in a game full of brain cancer. They weren't as spiky or egregious, but they still look pretty stupid.
Realistic weapons you say?
Take the Middle-Earth Pill
Steel looks ok
>skyrim
>anything other than Ebony
its the perfect mix of detailed and not over-designed, not too terribly edgy and somewhat realist looking, name a better set of weapons and armor, i'll wait
>black and gold
that's cheating
Would those side bits sticking out of the pommel dig into your wrist when you bend it a certain way? I feel like they might. But that’s the only potential issue I see here, from my layman’s perspective.
>Fantasy setting where real world laws are broken and creatures have completely different properties to real
>Expects proper "realistic" weapon designs
You're dumb
I don't want them to look realistic for the realism, but because realistic proportions are more aesthetically pleasing.
So everyone in Skyrim has steel wires for wrist tendons?
>some things in the setting are different than reality
>therefore nothing in the setting can be the same as reality
You’re dumb
Nord master race does.
Shadow of War has some alright weapons.
they in fact do
Coziest game ever despite all it's flaws
That's because Tolkien was explicitly inspired by historical weapons. I think the movie version of Glamdring is very nice.
Stabbing is universal
This. Fuck Beth and their paddle blades
