these are just origin stories, after you're done you're just an ex corpo, a nomad who abandoned his family and im not sure how the street kid plays out

Street kid is the canon one so that's the one I'll pick, it has the best content in all the right places and a wholesome story. Add to that the fact that you meet Jackie in an interesting way, meanwhile Corpo already knows Jackie so you miss their introduction and in Nomad they just don't care about each other.
Street Kid has the best story when it comes to rags to riches, V has been trash his entire life, treated like trash, living in the streets, being beaten up by cops, gangs, everyone. It makes sense for him to want so bad to be someone, to be a legend, to be rich.
Corpo V being rich? What? again? You learned fucking nothing? You killed people, you did awful things, and you ended up living in the streets, you want to go back to end up in the streets again?
And Nomad is fucking bullshit, first, it doesn't fit the setting at all, mad max has no place in cyberpunk, and even if it did, a nomad would NEVER want to become a rich city boy, V is going to be a counter culture nomad, which is an awful story, it would be like playing a mage who hates using magic, being counter culture is only fun IRL, not in games.
I truly feel sorry for the shitty experience everyone who won't play Street Kid will get.

You don't get to explore Night City as Nomad V. As soon as your origin is done, you get a time jump showing you all the adventures Jackie and V had in night city, by the time you play V again he has been living in Night City for years, so he's already familiar with the place.
So no, you don't get to explore Night City along V, when you get to explore Night City V has been there for years.

It's the best for that very reason. I don't know how people aren't bothered only Street Kid gets to meet Jackie. Nomad is just assigned in a mission with him and Corpo already knows Jackie for years.
Street Kid instead just meets jackie through chance, making their relationship so much better and the bonding montage perfect, it's also great because Jackie acts as your older brother, a kid who grew up alone in the streets finding a family is super wholesome, Corpo V finding a family is karma houdini and Nomad V already had a family.
