if u like immersive sim genre yes.
combat gets tedious after a while beware. spec into typhon to get it over with fast. or into shotgun

yes if you like exploring and world building.

combat is basic.

yes prey is amazing worth 40 burgers even

make sure to get the DLC as well.

i dont know man, 12 burgers can feed a lot of people

Yes. Great game.

yeah, the GOG version without denuvoshit

Yes it is, If you really like games like Deus Ex or System Shock it should be right up your alley and even if you haven't played them I'm sure you'd appreciate it if you like games with immersive worlds and sci-fi horror stuff.

Didn't the makers get rid of the denuvo on Steam?

Oh shit, right. they did remove It on July 23

Game of the decade

Don't play it on normal!

Yes, it's fucking amazing.

I strongly recommend installing this mod though, it fixes some little balance issues with the game and makes the survival mode more interesting

Why not? Too easy?

Absolutely.

I couldn't bring myself to play it after like the second area.
Areas only take like half an hour to do if you're thorough, but then I just keep running around grabbing all of the tiny objects and shoving them into the material machines to craft more gear. The vast majority of my playtime is just crafting shit.

Absolutely

Pretty easy but I’ve heard people struggle with normal on their first run. Once you know how to break the game it’s really really easy even on nightmare.

Yes, it's easily my game of the 2010's

Yes.

It's fine if you mod out the stupid time limit

Just pirate it and give the devs your money if you manage to get through all the boring enemies and level design for a long enough time to beat it.

Yes, don't buy it on sale. The devs could use all our help!

The level design is fine but yeah most of the enemy designs are pretty boring. But it's really isn't any worse than bioshock where you're just shooting drug addicts

>mod out the stupid time limit
how

>The level design is fine
The level design sucks since it almost never challenges you, preferring to give you three exits to every room and allowing you to pick which is most convenient and then double from your destination to pick up all the lootz.

>But it's really isn't any worse than bioshock where you're just shooting drug addicts
From what I remember of Bioshock the big daddies couldn't be beaten by going into a side room and waiting for five minutes, so that's a point in bio's favor

i thought it fucking sucked. idk why people praise it so much. it has that bioshock style going on so i can see why people want to like it, but it just never feels good or feels solid.

Because it's System Shock 3.

Prey has an outright bad difficult curve where the first hour or two of the game are the most challenging and then it rapidly becomes trivially easy

When you have to genuinely struggle or cheese to beat the weakest enemies at the start on a low difficulty level, but by midgame you can instagib the strongest enemies on the highest difficulty level, I think that's just bad game design, which is really weird since so many other things in the game clearly had so much thought put into them

Prey's soundtrack is what everyone wishes CP2077's soundtrack would be

FUCK

Take your pick
The multiple entrances and exits is a good thing as it accommodates most playstyles.
>From what I remember of Bioshock the big daddies couldn't be beaten by going into a side room and waiting for five minutes, so that's a point in bio's favor
Big daddies were just bullet sponges and without them the designs would be boring. Both pale in comparison to the designs of the games they're spiritual successors of

Worth it. Its a fun game.

It doesn't have multiplayer iirc

I swear Prey was entirely designed and balanced around No Needles mode and by using the macguffins the game revolves around, you actually break the game.

You still get meaningful character progression just from weapon upgrade kits and fabricator blueprints, and you're forced to actually use all of the GLOO ramps/breakable windows/recyclable barricades/foam dart buttons/hidden codes and keycards the devs so carefully laid out for you

>come across a black man
>throw him out an airlock

>The multiple entrances and exits is a good thing as it accommodates most playstyles.

Accommodating every playstyle so you never have to think about which overpowered power to use is why Arkane fails as a dev

Given the sheer amount of playstyles they had to accommodate all of them including no needles. I feel that the typhon neuromods were designed to be tempting as they allow you to bypass a bunch of obstacles so perhaps it's narrative related.
Then bump up the difficulty and use the weapon degradation/status effect options

The level design is great, better than bioshock that's for sure

Why pay
Just pirate it and buy 12 burgers
