I didn't like it.

Wind Waker was not only soulful, it was kino (overflowing with soul). The only people who disagree don't know what soul is.

It cheated to get that soul. Admit it.

>soul
What the fuck does this even mean? how the fuck do you even debate such an abstract concept?

>t. npc blank

Even people who don't like Wind Waker have to admit it's bursting with soul. There is more soul in one second of Wind Waker gameplay than the entirety of Breath of the Wild.

Based. Zelda started slipping in the soul department with TP, and every game after that has been soulless.
Wind Waker was the last kino Zelda.

It aged the best too. Ocarina and Majora are boomer garbage that look like shit

We got to see this character for 5 minutes max but it's still, to this day, one of the characters I care the most in the whole franchise.

well, I know this is bait.
but here's a real controverse opinion: Twilight Princess is the one I actually don't like. I only care about it because of Midna. the game itself is garbage.

Think of it like passion and direction. If you can sense the hands that made the game cared about, then it has soul. It's the reason most Ubisoft/Activision/EA games are so soulless.

>Think of it like passion and direction
i'm pretty sure many games have had passion and direction and still ended up being shitty

people are confusing "soul" with "talent", if i try to craft a wooden chair, it doesn't matter how much passion and effort i put into it if i have no fucking skill, the result is going to be shitty

Wind waker has so much soul that it still holds up today.

Twilight Princess is kinda shit. People talk about the improved combat, but it's still really simple and not interesting. The wolf sections suck ass, the game has items that become 100% useless outside of their intended spots, the game panders shamelessly to OoT without doing anything interesting with the setting, the forced "grim dark" segments sucks shit and was a hollow way to try and appeal to the "we want a mature Zelda" crowd. It's not an awful game, but it's very mediocre. Wind Waker, Twilight Princess, and Skyward Sword were all deeply flawed games that aren't anywhere near a 10/10 that Nintendo fans think they are. I loved Wind Waker but the empty ocean and triforce hunt ain't defend-able. Not to mention the dumbed down dungeons.

No.
The artstyle is completely soulless, huge step down from OOT/MM.

How the fuck is the artstyle soulless? It's the only game where Link has a personality.

post the world map and try to say that again.... I fucking dare you.

it happens when a video game is made with passion and not just as product that must sell a lot

the point of soul is pretty obvious. It's supposed to mean "a thing that was made with a lot of love and passion by the person who made it". However people just use it to mean "I like thing, prove me wrong".

Absolutely empty

ah, but your opinion is shit and therefore invalid

Here's a good definition of soul.

>NOOOO WW MAP IS EMPTY AND BARREN

you guys, I swear...

Somebody post the webm

>What is this "soul" you speak of?

Soul? Well yes buy I hated sailing everywhere. The warp song and speed sail made it much more tolerable.

soul is such a stupid concept

I've seen games where they have put a shitton of effort yet it still ended up being a mess and games that look like they were made within a week and yet they are incredibly fun to play

skill > effort/passion

There were like 4 islands that mattered lmao.

No it doesn’t, wind waker is great but BOTW is peak soul besides N64. Literally dripping with references to the most obscure stuff in zelda. And by far the game with the most missable stuff. Kill yourself nostalgiafag

It had a comfy atmosphere but outside of like the three main islands (Outset, Windfall, and Dragon Roost) it was pretty bland and empty.

The only reason fags hold it in high regards is either a.) "muh first 3D Zelda" or b.) "muh well-written ganondorf". Everything outside of the art style, music, and atmosphere of the main islands was pretty lackluster.

Your argument is that you can clap when you run into a useless swamp island with nothing on it because the map says it's called Linebeck?
