Currently replaying it. Just like my first playthrough, I spend a lot of time just fucking waiting for shit to research, which I don't even need because the gun you start with is the best one in the game. Steam says I have 340 hours but it feels like I actually played about half of that.
Multiplayer (FOBs and shit like that, not MGO) is bland and kind of pointless.
Too much fucking fanservice, it's trite.
>keptcha waitin huh
>Quiet
>trying to tie up the convoluted story while making sure to mention every single fucking character in MGS history
The game feels like a colossal waste of time, especially if you consider its actual repetitiveness. IMHO, there should have been less emphasis on style and much more on playability. But hey, it's Kojima and from what I've seen, MGS4 was even worse.
Nolan Collins
Good gameplay, but lacks content. Needed more mgs 3 elements and like twice as much land to explore. Didn't care for writing.
Hudson Moore
Gameplay is amazing, story is kinda meh.
Elijah Myers
goes to shit after Afghanistan
Nolan Bailey
I'd rather rewatch the kino trailers and bask in the remembered hype and speculation than play through that disappointment again
Elijah Barnes
enemy markers should have been removed, it's a different game without them.
Biggest flaws are actually that the game is too easy, guards should have had a checking in system so they would eventually notice when people were getting taken out and it would have been good for outposts to have more people and also more security devices
Jason Hughes
It gives me a feeling of phantom pain when I think about it. It could have been good, it could have been the best game. But it left me feeling empty and wanting.
Parker Kelly
terrible post
Asher Hill
It wasn't finished but kojimer probably deserved getting the plug pulled by konami for wasting nearly a decade on project budget, a bunch of it to finance his westaboo trips and have dinnerdates with celebs. The karoshi suits probably got jelly.
Andrew Young
With me it leaves with a funny feeling of wanting MGS 1-4 remade on pc with mgsv controls. It plays so good mechanically that it makes the rest of the series feel so dull.
Isaac Edwards
4's gameplay > V
Alexander Diaz
I think they went a little too much on third person shooter style controls. I liked the nuance of what you could do in MGS3 and MGS4 more than V.
Lucas Brooks
The game or this particular scene?
I like the game, at least in terms of the gameplay. Everything related to the actual story is the weakest part. It's fun being the mercenary king on the random side missions you do and then you go back to the mediocre story and it feels like kind of a drag.
I wish the game were set up more for replayability though. Every mission always plays out the same way, and once you know where the objectives are, you can just sprint straight there and end the mission in 30 seconds. FOB missions have the same problem, where bases always have the same general layout and you can just play in the exact same way every single time.
That said I still reinstall it every so often.
If you were referring to this scene in particular, I still think it's funny. I legitimately laughed out loud watching it for the first time.

Obviously unfinished but still better than 99.9% of games released in the past 15 - 20 years.

4 was a good start, but it plays like shit because it is on fucking playstation. It cries to me,
>put me on fucking pc daddy!
Jose Ramirez
I played to the point where chapter 1 ends. I liked the game nice enough but the story fell to shit towards the end, probably because Kojima failed to convince Konami of his retarded episodic DLC idea and had to rush to tie up plot threads that were initially intended to be left open ended. I don't want to ruin the experience with chapter 2 which I hear is shit. So I'll leave it as it was, a pretty good 30 hour game.
Levi Gonzalez
I agree, but I still prefer V simply because I am allowed to actually PLAY it
Mason Bell
I still maintain that Chapter 1 and 2 are excellent. I just wish the rest of the game was that good.
Connor Lewis
It's a good gaem

Here is my opinion and experience for this gaym. I had a period that I was absolutely autistically fucking obsessed with the metal gear saga. Played 1, 2, 3, 4 and PW and mostly loved all of them. I was extremely hyped for TPP the trailers were 10/10. I even bought this gaym for the xbox 360. I literally never buy games. I pirate every game all my life but I bought this game, dont really remember the reason, I think I couldnt be bothered to pirate it and was certain that I would love it anyway so I can buy, once in a blue moon, a game, especially one that is going to be the ultimate kino that is TPP.
I never finished this game and dropped it, sold it. I remember getting the little mech that you can slide around in but not sure how far into the game is it. This game made me extremely assmad. I really enjoyed the story in 1, 2, 3, 4 and PW and this one shit on my plate. Huge dissapointment. Maybe Im too stupid to get this game or its simply a shit game, Im not sure. Theres something wrong with it, it felt very weird. I dont know if its some meta commentary on whatever that I was too stupidto understand, if he legit didnt want to make this game but was forced to, and made it shit on purpose as en experiment to see what will people think of it. The reviews all gave it 10/10. I thought the story was insulting. Fuck this game
Luke Scott
It's shit and it still hurts after all this time.
I'll never get over it
Charles Lee
I will be angry til the day I die.
Henry Gutierrez
The final chapters are pretty badass though, like shitloads of fanservice and solid vs liquid ocelot is cool.
Jackson Mitchell
One of the games with the best gameplay/controls this decade.
Levi Lee
Looking back, I should've went with that Mad Max game. It was great.
Chase Miller
last of us 2 literally has same gameplay mechanics
Eli Flores
I know open world is kinda hated around here. But I think it's interesting how developers take older systems and adapt them to a new concept. Some games work out, and I think MGSV does.
Aaron Gomez
MGO2 was my ''gameplay fix'' of the game. It really demonstrated that 4 was stacked with mechanics. From the movement system, to combat, sound, to fun gimmicks that could be used tactically like playing dead, hiding in boxes, and so much more.
Gabriel Wright
who can blame truckman for wanting to imitate perfection?
Brayden Fisher
I love the way it plays, moving boss etc. But the open world doesn't do that much for me, its cool going which ever way you want but it just looks the fucking same, there are kind of linear bits but they aren't as good as previous entries to me, I do like that the enemies adapt when you start using the same stuff. I just want to rip the boss game play out and stick it in another game.
