>Forced stealth section in a non stealth game
ITT gaming pet peeves
Those aren't as bad as forced action sections in stealth games.
>has cute doggos
>can't pet them
>Pandering of any sort, be it to SJW's and wokeshit, or waifushit.
>Having to hold a fucking button to do something when there's no alternate control mapped to just tapping the button.
>Game allows you to make choices
>Game chastises you when you don’t make the choice it wanted you to
>game has a huge selection of weapons to use
>only 3 of them are useful, and the rest are either situational or completely useless and inferior to those 3 particular weapons 99% of the time
>Having to hold a fucking button to do something when there's no alternate control mapped to just tapping the button.
This and also
>open world games that, when you die, remove what you died to and respawn you close by.
>screen shake
>motion blur
>chromatic aberration
>red jelly screen when taking damage
>cinematic on rails hold forward/talking segments
>water/ice levels
>weapon durability
>strongest weapons/equipment is the ugliest
>western games doing that thing when your character awkwardly stumbles over fucking everything to emulate ''realistic'' walking
>Game has a gender slider
never finished Gravity Rush 2 because of this. Goddamn it was annoying.
>you must die in order to advance
>wasting all my medical packs and bullets without recovering them back
>Forced action section in a stealth game
>npc hurt you
>other npc do nothing
>you hurt npc
>all npc freaks out making you the bad one
>harder difficulty just makes enemies into damage sponges that hit harder
>game becomes trivial once skills are unlocked
This depends though. Conversely games that have no real concequences to choices because they're afraid of players "missing out" are worse IMO
>water/ice levels
IDK water levels are shit but ice levels are cool
>game has only one acceptable solution to an objective that in actuality could be solved different ways with gameplay and just blocks you from progressing unless you do it in one specific way
>platforming section in a jrpg
I am looking at you xenogears and dq11
>start game
>it forces me to read lore and or do tutorials instead of being intuitive enough to become competent at immediately (yet takes time to get actually good at)
>developers, unironically, literally, thinking that I should give a fuck about their world when I haven't even felt/experienced how rewarding the gameplay-loop/combat etc. is
its just realism
>Game allows you to make "choices"
>Nothing really matters, whatever you choose leads to the same dialogue and consequences.
Almost every single chapter of Persona 4 Arena(Yu's story especifically) has the charachter make a dialog choice, none of them matter, I don't understand why they even put them there.
>game has time limit
imagine my surprise when mario 64 has no time limit and that was my first impression
>Gender slider
>27% male, 73% female
>60% male, 40% female
how the fuck would that even work, is your player character in the middle of transitioning or something?
It's a chad/faggot & princess/dyke slide
>Having to hold a fucking button to do something when there's no alternate control mapped to just tapping the button.
RDR2
RDR2
>inability to white phosphorus everyone outside of Spec Ops: The Line
i hate asians so fucking much
Get in the barrel, Link
Forced leftist political shit
no gender slider but dark soul does have a Masculine-Feminine slider when it comes to customizing the head of your charachter.
Same.
>Ice levels are cool
>boob slider
>cant make extremely flat or cowtits, just boring in between
>no ass slider either
>Stealth takedowns that take ten fucking seconds
>cant make extremely flat
Play as a male character.
>stealth takedowns that are, in fact, not stealth takedowns
why do you hate them
>>screen shake
>>motion blur
>>chromatic aberration
This plus bloom I instantly turn off in any game ever and vignette shit too
>take enemy out in stealth
>no one could possibly have seen or heard it
>every fucking enemy in the entire area knows someone just got killed, who it was, who killed them, where you are, and what you ate for breakfast
No, I want to make lolis
>Having to hold a fucking button to do something when there's no alternate control mapped to just tapping the button.
Fuck this fucking shit. It's always console ports too.
They're weird, their men are too girly, their porn is weird and retarded, their women are ugly and act like children and they make/like the cringiest shit possible.
>Literally shoot an enemy in the face, right in front of another enemy
>"Guess it must have been the wind..."
>takes notes
No ass slider sucks cause most devs go with pancake ass , not even a average one
You can't just take stuff. That's stealing, and stealing is bad.
>Water/ice levels
So you just suck then.
Unskippable cutscenes in general. It's like they don't want you to play their game more than once.
Now that I think about it, are there any good Tenchu bosses?
>pseudo stealth game
>combat is so easy and braindead that breaking stealth is a non issue
RPG presents lore through 1000 pages of vague text instead of through the NPC dialogue like any good writer would know.
>Move it
>Immediately jumps from one end to the other with nothing inbetween.
Whoever cut a schnauzer like that needs their head kicked in
>takes post as well
>game is full of fanservice
>no smell-o-vision
I just wanna smell Mia Karnstein's armpits and panties, bros...
i hate them because they have no emotions, like insects
>enemies clad in red
>allies clad in blue
its a little bit insulting, even if it has to be this way
>Hours long hand holding tutorial when the first games had a 2 minute one
Looking at you Pokémon
That too, there's a lot of other reasons i didn't remember while i was typing like how they make cheap copies of everything. They deserved a lot more than just two nukes.
I mean games are for kids, and even if not, color cues make it so you can easily, at a half-second glance tell them apart, especially in games like AoEII where you can have a million fucking enemies on screen at once.
Why did you reply to your own post?
I like threads like these because it gives me an exact idea what not to put into my own game. Anti-fun is never fun.
