The pixel art is amazing and infinitely better than anything 3D,
To call it just a platformer doesn't do it justice. It's not just a video game, it's an piece of art that speaks to the sensibilities of today and preaches the truth against the lies we've been fed, it's pro LGBTQi+ and features POC in empowering roles, something that video games never do but need to.

I've never played it, but it's the greatest game made in the last twenty years

You know that you can't "catch" dysphoria right? You're born with it. Transitioning is currently the best known cure, lowering the suicide attempt rate from about 40% to 3%. Nobody's turning trans because they saw it in a game, but dysphoric people are feeling more comfortable and accepted by having representation. Transitioning isn't ruining lives, not transitioning is what has the highest suicide and depression rates. The dysphoria doesn't go away if they just pretend they aren't trans. That's like telling a depressed person to just cheer up.
