It's fucking great?!
It's fucking great?!
i don't know. is it?
Never played it, just listened to that new boss theme over and over. On those grounds I would say yes.
I liked it. I play with Spanish VAs because deep voiced spanish chads make my pee pee get big but Nacimiento's English VA is fire as fuck
the spanish Voice acting is actually really good. I am surprised the game didn't launch with it.
It seemed like the last Amanecida was just the other four stitched together, with the HP of one of them. Kind of disappointing. I expected a bigger climax to the side quest I guess.
NG+ Escribar is a pain in the ass though. Seems like a bigger difficulty bump than the other bosses.
I think that they thought it might be a little bit too niche since Spanish doesn't often get quality VAs. Due to the success of the game, I think they thought that it was worth it since Blasphemous seems to be working its way into a sort of Witcher-esque role of being mainland Spanish culture's mark on the gaming industry
i thought the first phase of escribar was worse. the purple magic attack is pretty punishing for how difficult it is to dodge the first 3 projectiles from it
Yeah, I actually do mean the first phase in NG+. I haven't made it to the second phase but I assume it will be easier. I'm also playing with the weakened blade.
First phase escribar?! 2nd phase escribar was like giga aids to me. But I guess thats because I am brain dead when it came to dodging the fire.
Also, has anyone played on new game+ yet? I am on new game+ now and I chose the bleeding heart penitence. It actually doesn't seem too much harder since you still get life orbs from the woman with swords in her AND any items that increase your life increases your life orbs too. If anything, life orbs are better than life bar because you can go balls to wall on damage since every hit takes away one orb. Like right now I using the sword heart that increases your damage but lowers defense. My defense doesn't matter though because every hit is 1 life orb.
The penitence of TRUE GUILT seems like mega aids though.
As I said in I picked the magic NG+ and I've done about everything except beat Escribar.
The health orbs sound interesting, like Hollow Knight, but I figured the magic one would be the easiest to start with. Basically use Debla of the Lights on everything.
The penitence that makes your flasks restore fevor makes the game easier imo. It lets you spam the invincibility prayer and combined with the bead that gives you lightning attacks after using a flask lets you burn bosses down quick. Exposito died in something like 5 seconds using this.
yeah health orbs are fun. Only thing that sometimes sucks is that enemies respawn when you enter a room. I however like combat so thats fine by me. I wish there was more to spend tears of atonement on. I think I have bought everything there is to buy maybe.
>finish two playthroughs
>don't understand a goddamn thing
>find out the main story was written in the original Kickstarter but not actually spelled out in game
Could they really not be assed to even explain who Escribar is ingame?
Had to stop my faith penatence cause I was doing NO DAMAGE to anything. Now the game is getting better
I want to plant my face into that statue-burdened woman's bush.
Also note that the game is glitched at the moment. I beat it on penitence of true guilt and the bead you are supposed to get never went into the inventory. Afaik none of them are being rewarded for completing the optional hardmodes in NG+
Is the penatence available in NG? I assumed it was NG+ only.
The faith one is probably not very fun if you don't have all the spells already.
its NG+ only. Also if you don't get all the prayers, you are right. It is less fun. I have most of the important ones. Like there is one that shoots lasers in a straight line horizontally. Those are helpful.
I was wondering this too. I feel like I didn't really know who escribar is and why we have to kill him. He is the "first son of the miracle"? Whereas the "twisted one" is the first miracle. But what does it mean to be the first son of the miracle?
I fucked up. escribar is the LAST son of the miracle. So I guess the last person to be touched by the miracle specifically? or maybe not.
This thing of telling stories in supplementary material is pretty annoying. At least do it like Amplitude and include it with the game.
I mean not much happens in the prequel comic I think right? Basically penitent one grabs the sword from the woman that stabbed herself. Chrisanta shows up and KEKW'S the penitent one and throws him in the silent brotherhood with his dead bros. The miracle revives penitent one and the game begins?
I went through the game with True Guilt. It was awful at first, but I got used to it and it was really fun. Your ranged attack becomes absurdly useful if you upgrade it, especially since the damage it deals counts toward the life steal prayer. I ran life steal exclusively, along with the sword heart that increases the effectiveness, duration, and cost of prayers. The loss of tears never really fucked me over.
Ah yeah I am on bleeding heart right now and life steal prayer is definitely putting serious work in. Life orbs seem to regen so fast when you use life steal prayer and go to town on stuff.
That's good to know, wasn't sure if it'd work with the orbs or not. Bleeding Heart seems the most annoying to me, mainly because I like the enemies I kill to STAY DEAD.
when you beat the game on NG+ with any of the penitence on(Bleeding heart, true guilt etc). What do you get? Just a skin?
What.
Spanish VA is considered one of the best in the whole world.
Do i play with the Spanish dub
Finally completed the base game, and will be ascending my file some time soon. Amazing game though, and between this update and Bloodstained CotM2, Konami can shove official CV up their has-been asses
ascend but make sure you have gotten all relics first. Makes the second play through easier in some ways. or basically do all of what you want to do before you ascend because most things transfer over. bile flasks and rosary slots do not though.
I think I did everything I could with my current file. I didn't talk to the guy stuck in the tree in time, so I'm thinking I'm locked out of the last couple of collectibles I need for 100%
