>Bioshock 4
Ken Levine's floating city waifu simulator isn't a Bioshock game

But "shameless cash grab rush job" is?

Eleanor MC!

This. MC or not, I just want to see her return.

Yes

>I hope it never happens
>I expect it to be Infinite 2
>I fear it to be Infinite 2

You just described Infinite a second time, user. I'm not sure what you're trying to say

>tfw there will never be another good Bioshock game

I think the only way they can make it work is ditch the radicalized philosophical leanings and focus on the supernatural shit that is ADAM and whatever is glowing at the bottom of the ocean. The first two games already stretched the whole "caricature of a villain uses walkie talkie and loudspeakers to spout insane shit" gimmick to its limit, and it was just fucking retarded seeing the general guy in Infinite hijack a museum to graffiti HALL OF WHORES on the entrance.

No Elizabeth, no buy

i literally have zero hopes for this due to the lead of Cloud Chamber coming out back in a December interview to talk about "diversity" hires rather than discussing the series and what the future entails for this IP major red flags were raised for me on the spot.

God damn it now I have to repost this again:

We need to have Columbia done right. Give it the gameplay of Bioshock 1 and 2, as well as have so much more of the concept art shit come back.

I had always thought that a possible Bioshock 4 taking place in an alternate timeline version of Columbia where they went all in on technology and science, instead of religion, would be really cool. Just flip Infinite on its head. The main theme if the game would be transhumanism, but in such a steampunky kind of way that 1912-1930 could allow.

Have the main villain be someone who is so highly a proponent of science and technology that he built the city to be a technological marvel and a guiding hand to try and drop religion and advance humanity through technology. He would be such a radical that he took his brain and had it put in a robotic body, basically being a living Motorized Patriot. Basically being pic related, the Oddfellow character in Infinite’s concept art. Maybe he eventually was forced to leave with the city and never return, due to being so anti-religion, paralleling Columbia’s disappearance in Infinite. He could also have a sort of version of Songbird in a giant robotic steampunk bald eagle, which is sort of his pet/right-hand-man.

Maybe there could be some more “constants and varibles” nonsense here and there with Statues of Oddfellow periodically transforming into statues of comstock, as the Luteces would still have to be there for the city to float.

Also you could possibly just do all of this without Columbia and just use all this in a new setting with new characters.

If you mean Bioshock 2 that one had more soul than nfinite and the extensive "There's Something In The Sea" ARG proved 2K Marin cared about what they were making. Levine meanwhile had his ego inflated up the fucking kazoo and people who were at Irrational Games since day 1 had enough of his dunce-tier behaviour and just handed in their resignation letters in the middle of Infinite's production.

You can have new girls, not just the same chick over and over.

BS2 had Big Sisters, who does not get enough play in the sfm/blender stuff.

Interestingly enough, there’s a new ARG now. Even stranger, it was added to Minerva’s Den recently, which means that the events of Minerva’s Den will dictate the story of 4.

>Takes place on land for the first time in the series. Sort of
>A giant moving city was created.
>Our protagonist knows what's going on, but we, the player, don't. He leads US on the journey, really.
>Trepang2-esque combat
>"Plasmids" are reworked into a more versatile system of powers. Including the ability to smash into the ground and create earthquakes, go into bullet time, and all sorts of shit like that.

Kek I think I've been seeing this repost at least for the last 2 years. I agree though, we deserve another shot at Columbia.

WHAT
You better not be fucking with me user. Source that shit.

Bioshock was shit.

>tfw there will never be a good Bioshock game
I don't know about 2 but Levine not being involved has made me considered the possibility that it is good.

No, it should just stop trying to tell a story despite the player. Ditch the Half-Life style silent protagonist and have the quests be informed by observing the environment rather than being spelled out to you via speaker. Make it more like SS like having an actual inventory system.

Holy cringe

Interesting ideas. I like them. We've been underwater and in the sky so the next step is something Earthy like your idea, underground or Space, some how.

>Retard who hasn't even played all the games pretends to know how they should be done.

Set it in Antarctica.

Bioshock 1 was shit because it was shallow and BS:I was more shallow. You can only enjoy it if you are a brainlet.

Our protagonist is also the most powerful in the series, when it comes to pure combat capabilities.
And trust me, you’re gonna need it

It also shouldn't have a plot twist that is directly centric on the player character.

>You can have new girls
Sure but she has also become just as iconic to Bioshock as Jill Valentine to Resident Evil.

Honestly, I want a Bioshock equivalent to Resident Evil 6. I want to see Jack, Eleanor, Tenenbaum, Elizabeth and Booker team up against a new enemy: a mashup of Comstock and Atlas similar to Liquid Ocelot, who's trying to take over the world with the power of both Rapture and Columbia.

Eleanor protagonist, the other little sisters now grown up are NPCs

I hate that Levine and co. have ruined the use of the name Columbia for anything involving the US, alternate history, actual history, etc. I just wanna fuck the pre-Uncle Sam personification of the United States, man.

Here’s a video explaining that along with everything else known about Bioshock 4, other than the things we learned yesterday, of course: youtu.be/Z-qiDM-Troo

I believe Infinite already is that

Come on, user. It might not be a very elegant masterpiece but you have to admit it would be pure Michael Bay action KINO.

For more of the gameplay side of it, instead of gene tonics, you could have various mechanical parts you attach to your body, which would eventually lead onto you (and the enemies) possibly losing your humanity as the game goes along, similar to how you would with extensive gene splicing with adam in 1 and 2. Instead of adam addicted splicers you could have transhuman abominations with body dysmorphia, obsessed with hacking off their own limbs and body parts to replace them with “superior” mechanical parts. Plasmids/Vigors could also be replaced with a device you have on your wrist, like System Shock 2, that can have new parts added that perform like plasmids. Think of it as a mix between pic related and the Sky-Hook in terms of design.

There could also be some spliced up being due to dimensional tears, like in the concept art of Bioshock Infinite, as maybe the main villain could have become so technologically advanced due to using the Lutece’s and their Lutece device to see into the future and steal modern day tech like cars to reverse engineer into 1912 steampunk versions as best as he could.

I could see the multiple endings of the game be dictated by various moral choices you make in the game relating to advancing yourself and sacrificing those around you for the purpose of advancing yourself to become more powerful ingame, much like sacrificing little sisters to obtain more adam, etc. perhaps the endings could be whether you finally kill the villain and save those in this alternate Columbia or join him/replace him as the ruler of Columbia in the name of science and bring forth destruction to the world yourself, much like Jack in 1.

Infinite

worse infinite

I'm still sad Elizabeth didn't live to eventually get married and have children continuing dewitt bloodline so I'd want Eleanor to have full on romance by the end of her adventure if she's ever a protagonist.

>hopes
>expectations
>fears
Is there a point in talking about these things, if we are not gonna influence the final product? Even if the devs or Cuck Levine were lurking in this thread, it's just a meaningless waste of time.

This game will consider the post-credits scene of Bioshock Infinite as canon and will branch off of that as the main plot thread. Booker, now with the knowledge of the events of Infinite, raises baby Ana Dewitt normally, now with nobody to offer her for redemption. Ana is raised to be as much like Elizabeth as possible, in that he stressed that she read as many books and gained as much knowledge as possible, making her quite handy in life. As she grows older, however, Booker begins to slip somewhat, as he is constantly plagued by memories he shouldn’t have and knowledge of places he’s never been (Comstock Columbia).

The plot could kick off with our main character, (who I haven’t thought of a name more yet), with Anna Dewitt in a workshop of sorts. They are perhaps married, but are told by a mysterious duo who inform them that Anna’s father, Booker, has gone missing and where to find him, a mysterious floating city in the sky called Columbia. Perhaps the main character could dig up some old invitation to go to Columbia that he never indulged on, gifted to him mysteriously for his “engineering expertise.”

From there it becomes your typical Bioshock adventure with MC and Anna. You eventually come into contact with Booker, who them becomes your Atlas/Sinclair type radio character, guiding you through this alternate version of Columbia. It will be revealed that Booker was kidnapped due to too many people overhearing his ramblings about the Columbia that HE knew from Infinite, as he had grown kind of looney in his older age due to the multiple scramblings of his mind in the previous game. In this universe, Columbia is meant to be a secret, thus causing the villain to want Booker captured and brought to Columbia for questioning. Sometime around the last third of the game, Booker will be converted into one of Columbia’s versions of a big daddy for helping the MCs unravel Columbia, the same way Sinclair was in Bioshock 2.

It’s fun to speculate user. Wasting time doesn’t matter when there isn’t anything else to do in the waiting period between the reveal or release of Bioshock 4.

Hopefully they back to SS2 formula but given prey's sales figures I doubt that. Although It has already become a cult classic, so there is hope

Basically.
>Objectivism
>Utilitarianism
>Eugenics
So I said "Fuck it, let's try Darwinism"
That's the ideology this game fucks with

w-well System shock 3 now has the funding of the CCP so maybe something decent will come out soon? right? haha

>durr why talk about anything?
And levine is not even involved

>oz was never made
fuck my life

>He hasn't read the fanfics

Do you remember user?
youtube.com/watch?v=sEFIZh_Zscc

i'm blackpilled

they gonna fuck it up and normies will buy it anyway and i will want to get me some bleach.. oh wait... i wont even be alive by the time it releases

I'd say have it set in space, but I don't see how they could do that and not be ripping off Prey (2017)

>hopes
>fears
Literally none of either because it’s just going to be more Infinite-shit
>completely linear level design
>full-blown CoD style regenerating health
>two weapon limit
>boring enemy design
> weapons and plasmids will be infinitely less satisfying to use than Bioshock 1 and 2
>shitty writing attempting to blindside retards into thinking anything happening is actually interesting or deep
>some waifu-b8, except they probably won’t even make them aesthetically appealing this time to get sjw brownie points
>some 2deep4u “racism is bad” message
There’s no way it’ll actually be good

you are sincerely a fool in two ways user

you have let videogames and online culture dictate your life so much you have embraced the most retarded and self harming delusion that does not even correlate with reality

you are stupid also because good videogames still exist and you have cucked yourself out of your hobby due to pure hatred instilled on you by grifters and low iq retards

They could do a sky city on Venus or something.

People really hate Bioshock 1 and Infinite huh? I like 2 as well but 1 was really fucking good, genuine top tier game of all time. People also really hate Ken Levine huh. System Shock 2 was pretty cool.

Bioshock 1 didn't have any interesting designs besides the big daddies and people bitch about Prey's enemy variety

didnt read lol

You know that could actually factor interestingly into with the ideal that maybe the villain thinks humanity’s next step in evolution is the mechanization of themselves. Shedding their fleshy skin for the perfect bionic bodies blah blah blah. Could really open a lot of opportunities for story telling, gameplay and character/world designs.

System Shock 2 wasn't just irrational, looking glass studios also helped to keep ken in line

Wut

Prey is on sale right now. it will fill that itch

>>completely linear level design
They already stated that it won’t be that.

And you believe them?

>tfw you realize the next bioshock will be linear shit too
