Don't know if I'd designate it by components, but I would say the west makes better RPGs while Japan makes better action games.

Most games from both regions have shit gameplay but they have about an equal amount of solid titles mixed in.
I'd also argue that games from both regions tend to have cool concept art and ideas but boring art directions in execution.

This. I have literally never played a game more better gameplay than pic related, and consider it the pinnacle of gameplay for all video games. I don't think anything will ever be able to top it.

If it's an action game that's not a shooter then Japan is usually better.

If it's a shooter, management sim, strategy game, or spreadsheet simulator then the West is better.

Invented, perhaps, as most things, but this has to be a joke when it come to representing game design in general. Japan is the land of JRPG and visual novels, not to mention . Even action games are filled to the brim with cutscenes. Japan seldom releases pure games with no or minimal pretense of story whereas it has always been a big proportion of western games.
Muh walking simulator is not even close to the boogeyman it's made to be in gameplay. Death Stranding is a walking simulator and it's great. Pathologic (2) is a walking simulator and has the best stress resource management mechanics.

I don't get it. If anything blonde has traditionally been a symbol of purity (due to being linked to youth). You could argue fake blondes but that's another matter. Of course changing hair color, especially for something far from the natural one, is a sign of vanity.
