Based. Fuck this godless fake virus.

wonder if this nigga died yet

lol hope he didnt visit his parents

oblivion

RDR2 has the most packed open-world ever made with a shitload of handcrafted content
after playing it and then Tsushima it made me realize how impossibly high the bar has been set
people that haven't played it will disagree on principle

Monster Hunter
Minecraft
Dark Souls

it's so redundant though. RDR2 has too many wasted opportunities to be imaginative and delve into history.

>actual people and wildlife doing lots of different things in the world is redundant

it makes the game feel actually alive, unlike Tsushima where all you'll find is Mongols and bears
Rockstar went far beyond the quality level they needed to for this game, it's clearly a passion project and them dabbing on the industry just because they can

World of Warcraft. If anything, starting with Cataclysm, the game has a problem of being too dense, too much of it being made out of designated questing areas conveniently placed on your way, and too little of it being wilderness that serves the function of making the game feel like an actual world.

I think it's also the mountains of money. The mountains of money probably play a role. Hell, Rockstar probably doesn't ever give a shit about deadlines unless it means beating the shit out of crunchers.

Yakuza, Grand Theft Auto and Minecraft. They're not vast open areas with nothing in them. Watch as he changes the rules and says they're not good enough.

Read Dead redemptHAHAHA ok I can't even keep a straight face with this one.

Okami

You can call me mong, tard or fag but Morrowind, Oblivion and Skyrim were filled with stuff. Not overkill full but not barren wasteland either.

Gothic

Horizon zero dawn is probably the worst offender imo.
There's literally nothing to do but go from story point A to story point B.

Wrong thread, scamp.
The bait thread is a few threads along.

Based Allah energy shield

Wind Waker
The little islands are full of unique things
I would really love to get a sequel to it

Dark Souls I
Ocarina of Time

Sleeping Dogs

Subnautica

Burnout Paradise

How do those not qualify as open world though?

Not him but DaS1 certainly is open world and probably the best example ITT.
