Please save Quake Champions

>Completely port the game to IDTech
>Champions and abilities are now regulated to a side-mode, with the different characters now just cosmetic in the main modes
>Create a monthly road map of cosmetics and content updates
>Add steam workshop support and snapmap
>Custom servers
>Optimize
>Use better official servers
>Fix the netcode
>Change the name to simply QUAKE V
>Relaunch with the biggest content update yet and a major marketing push
>Comes with a remake of Quake 1

Its not too late, ID. The game is still in Early Access. If they made these changes now it would be borderline perfect.

I'd play it 24/7 if my toaster could run it.

rename arena mode battle royale mode

Give up, user. Let it go.

I have a shit graphic card (radeon rx 460) and i can run this game smoothly.
I have no problem with the netcode, the problem is that i don't live in the US so all the servers are far away.

Yeah my PC is trash too yet it runs fine. Don't know why people have a problem with that

I do have a problem with the garbage netcode though

Sorry user
Bethesda has found its premiere MP game in Fallout 76
Or dont you remember last Quakecon being almost all F76 with just one quake related event

Imagine if they actually added a battle royale mode. Maps that actually require skillful movement, rocket jumps, cpma, strafe jumping, etc.

Would instantly make arena shooters relevant again.

Battle royale is all about camping.

You made this exact post in the last QC thread and then got pissy when someone dissected everything wrong with it line-by-line and why it'll never happen. You're still fucking delusional if you think that Bethesda would put forth any of the resources to do even one of these things.

so fortnite?

At this point it's a lost cause. Its reputation is so tarnished that it can't be saved. With all the changes you mentioned to fix it, you may as well design a completely new game and recycle the best maps and models from QC (along with more from Q3). Honestly, the ultimate redpill is that what it needs to succeed is a singleplayer campaign. Follow the nuDOOM model and draw in normies with the campaign, then convince them to stay for the MP.

>Would instantly
No, it wouldn't. Nothing would "instantly" make Arena Shooters relevant again. You know why? Because you started off with the same fucking high skill-floor bullshit that prevents people from getting into afps today.
>skillful movement
>rocket jumps
>cpma
>strafe jumping
What popular games can you fucking name right now that require you to watch a twelve-video youtube series about how to go from bridge to rail? "Yeah bro, play this new battle royale, you just have to watch all of these tutorials first before you actually start having fun!"

Has camping ever worked in Quake? No. You would still need to grab armor and health.

I literally raped?

>camping ever worked in Quake?

no because you are forced to collect mega armor and health every 30 seconds

The fact that zoomers are good at fortnite proves that high skill-floor games still have a place. Don't try to argue Fortnite doesn't have a high skill floor. Have you seen how fast they get a building shit?

I believe in your vision OP.

That's a high skill ceiling, you fucking idiot. Skill floor implies that you have to be good at those things initially to compete. In Fortnite you can run around, grab some guns, and camp in a bush and still get a few kills. Maybe you build a ramp or a basic shack. Nobody's coming into the game knowing how to quickly build a fucking deathtrap house. But just try to run around and stack up in a regular Quake match as a newbie while people are flying around like the goddamn Batman.

The daily QC threads are working.
Soon arena shooters will be back on the menu, boys.

> high skill-floor
Where exactly did this meme get started? AFPS have an incredibly low skill-floor in terms of the basic mechanics. You want to see a high skill-floor? Look at shit like League and Dota where you have to memorize a bunch of different "roles" and champions just to play the game, and not knowing the meta will get you cussed out by your teammates. And yet that game pulls tens of millions of players daily. AFPS is comparatively very easy. The champions are mostly a gimmick and anyone can hop into a FFA and have fun, even with relatively low skill. I don't know exactly why AFPS is dead, but I know that this isn't it. Maybe it's because of the lack of any polished modern offering that isn't just a blatant Quake clone. Maybe it's as simple as lack of marketing; no AAA studio has really tried pushing one. Maybe it's the lack of matchmaking, causing noobs to get stomped by pros (NOTE: this is different from a game with an inherently high skill floor - playing Quake against bots or other noobs has an extremely low skill floor)

>implying people are playing QC because of these threads
>implying it isn't because QuakeCon just happened and gave a bunch of free shit away
>implying it isn't because Alienware Arena members have gotten emails about the QuakeCon promotion
>still under 1000 CCU

so basically make a new game but recycle the assets?

Nah all those "dissections" were pretty poor and a couple of them boiled down to "you can't port games"

Unironically yes

my wife,NYX!

MOBAs have the benefit of you being able to blame other people on your team. In Quake, if you're getting bodied, you can't ignore the fact that you aren't good. Lose in a MOBA? "M-my team was trash!" Lose in Quake? "T-this game is trash!" In the former you could still delude yourself into thinking you might do better if you're on a different team. In Quake, even in TDM, you will NEVER be able to blame anyone else for you losing.

>Maybe it's as simple as lack of marketing
You people have the fucking memory spans of goldfish, I swear. Bethesda pushed this game fucking HARD, with an immediate $1 million dollar esports prize pool right out of the gate in CBT. Later, they announced the game was F2P at E3 2018, the largest-watched gaming event in the world. And keep in mind, this was BEFORE Fallout 76, so Bethesda's brand wasn't tarnished. Millions of people watched that fucking showcase. Then you had popular e-celebs like Dr. Disrespect, Dr. Lupo, Lirik, etc. all streaming that shit. All of these brand new audiences getting introduced to Quake.

And you know what fucking happened? NOTHING. NOBODY LIKED THE FUCKING GAME.

uninstall and go back to playing quake 3

Reminder that Bethesda and id are putting more effort into making this popular than Quake, they unironically hope to turn this into their eSport instead

But they will invite their friends to play.
This game is a lot of fun, until the end of this year it is going to have, at least, 2000 players daily.

>inviting your friends to a barely functional game

>They will invite their friends to play
Yeah, and then their friends will go, "Nah, I'd rather play Apex/Call of Duty/Siege/CS." And then that initial person will have no friends to play with and no one at their skill level, they'll get disillusioned with it, and leave. You act like this is the first time this has fucking happened FOR THIS GAME.

You just jealous diabotical failed, just cope.

It's never going to get ported to IDTech. Bethesda has absolutely no rational reason to invest money into a game that is unlikely to see any long-term growth. The free champion give-away is a very blatant test to see how many players are even interested in the game, at this point. If they don't see a significant bump in ccu, it's very likely that they'll either put the game into maintenance mode or shut down the servers.

lmao like i care about diabotical, i accepted arena shooters were dead as soon as tf2 became a bot game. you quakefaggots are genuinely braindead.

You can see the idiocy in Diaboticalfags and still recognize that Quake Champions is broke and busted. The entire genre's gone to pot and nothing and no one will ever resurrect it. These threads are filled with unfulfilled 40-year-olds coming over from /r/QuakeChampions who are trying to push people into the AFPS genre so they can both relive their teenage glory days and also to "prove" that their genre is still worthwhile. It's fucking sad.

Better yet, Bethesda/Zenimax should stop being Shylocks and open source id tech

>they announced the game was F2P at E3 2018, the largest-watched gaming event in the world.
Right. I wondered what was the cause of that spike in june 2018.
People are just not interested in arena fps.

i dont understand you niggers that bitch about netcode and lag, i play the game perfectly fine with a 750ti and r160. 60frames plus and medium settings. you people are just fucking faggots.

What is this

Reinstalled it during quakecon.
Its worse than it was 2 years ago.
Bethesda took a piss on quakes grave.

>even in TDM, you will NEVER be able to blame anyone else for you losing.
you can easily blame your team for losing in TDM m8
