Cerberus is so fucking incompetent. While they had the right idea, they're so terribly led, almost every fucking thing they do blows up in their face as a result. It was fucking stupid, Cerberus had a sense of mystery about them in ME1, ME2 had a more nuanced take, trying to explain their ideology and they weren't just a bunch of assholes, ME3 went full hurdur retarded space nazis.

Fraternization with a subordinate to this level is absolute retard mode. Even if Shepard can skirt this by being a SPECTRE, it's still a blatantly irresponsible move. In reality, Shepard should not be fucking around with anyone. It's his job as the leader to be clear headed and make life or death decisions at a moments notice. Romance invites massive emotional attachment that would undermine the mission and when all life in the universe is at stake, doing this is absolutely childish teenage behavior, totally unworthy of an officer.
