In another 10-20 years, these mobile gaming companies will probably have bought out or invested in most big name vidya companies. You better hope they're good masters and don't force companies to turn everything into "service" games like mobileshit where you have MTX out the ass and games designed solely to take advantage of that fact. Games as a service has already started and will continue to ramp up as players feel the battle pass system is better than a la carte dlc. The arms race ramped up when you have games like COD be 200GB (filled with every language and uncompressed audio/video) just to push other games off your HDD. It also makes you think twice about deleting the game should you get tired. You play the game so long you feel you don't want to abandon it, losing your time spent. Next step is to give returning player rewards when the sequel to these games come out. Stay in the walled garden and play these games over and over. Oh and only play these games when streaming becomes a viable option. That's the endgame.
