Seems like both Sony and Nintendo did exceptionally well this gen. Shame about Microsoft though, but hopefully they can rebound next gen. There’s a lot of good games on that list, even if you dislike one or two entries that scored really well on Metacritic.
My personal favorite is Bloodborne, what about you?
Getting obsessed over exclusives is childish. Bloodborne is a great game, period. But really I support MS's multiplat vision the most.
Oliver Morris
>highest rated game from that list is a Nintendo game Feels good to be a Nintenchad.
Cooper Bell
literally all I care about on the PS4 is Bloodborne and The Last Guardian
Jace Cox
why do people count switch as the same gen as ps4 and xbone when the wii u was
Brayden Barnes
Sony has 20 console exclusives?
Jace Davis
>console exclusives If they counted real exclusives only Nintendo would be the only one on that list
Joshua Evans
MS is better than Nintendo this gen. Sea of Thieves is the game Nintendo should have made but failed to. Nintendo only panders to trannies and soccer moms now.
Why? They’re usually the best games because they don’t have to spend resources on making it compatible to multiple gaming units. They usually use the hardware the best way possible and push things forward.
Caleb Gomez
They include games like nier:automata, yakuza and detroit become human even though they're not exclusive at all
Logan Murphy
Nintendo doesn't have any exclusives since you can play almost all of them on PC via emulator
>inb4 b-but official release only get fucked corporate bootlicker
Adam Gray
Animal Crossing. *Mic drop*
Mason Edwards
I count both as this gen
BotW is a really good game, though, like I said, Bloodborne is my favorite
Benjamin Sanders
Dude this isn't 2001 anymore. Modern consoles are literally just closed down PCs with some modifications. Especially PS4/Xbone. Any game that can run on those systems can with extreme ease be ported to a PC environment. The only games not getting ported are the ones gated by console holders. Also it sucks that GT Sport isn't on PC. I WANT IT ON PEECEE
You have Forza though, which is one of the few meaningful Microsoft exclusives. Forza did a bettee job than Gran Turismo this gen, and I’m a GT fan. I think Driveclub was better than GT and Forza
David Sullivan
Lmao exclusives are good because they have enormous budgets and infinite time to make them. It has nothing to do with some mystical special use of the hardware that multiplats can't seem to unlock lmao
Jordan Roberts
Yeah, they even call it a “remake of the 2014 Wii U title”, which is waaaaay too generous. Remake?
Ryder Rivera
Nier launched on PS4 and PC simultaneously
Wyatt Bell
It launched a week later.
Mason Wood
I haven't played much Forza so maybe I should t try it out. But GTS had way, way better gameplay than Driveclub. Racing games at 30 fps are yucky.
Sebastian Jackson
Damn, how did Sony manage to nab a entire week of exclusivity?!
Kayden Turner
In theory, I’d totally say the same, but somehow they made Driveclub feel really good to me. It has the best sense of speed this gen, for me. Plus, the dynamic weather is amazing there.
Jordan Richardson
It remained a console exclusive for a year, Xbox only got it when they made the Become as Gods edition
Landon Ramirez
No love for Days Gone?
Luis Brooks
As other anons said but also because exclusives are the only real selling point consoles have. The reason sn to buy a 360 over a ps3 wasn't some weird .1% more powerful in certain cases shit nobody really cares about it was because the 360 let you play halo, gears, and fable Its like this every generation The console with the best games sell better then the rest without fail I have no idea how microsoft forget this simple shit this gen by only releasing a medicore halo and gears and literally nothing else
