Been saying it from the start that Tencent's Store is all just a scam so they can sue Apple and Microsoft as they're going closed platform.
Don't think for a minute this is some noble gesture to try to save the industry. They have no problem with closed platforms.
They just want preferential treatment that gives them an advantage over the competition.

Valve's way in this is the right way. If you don't like what Apple and Microsoft are doing with their platforms, build a platform not under the control of phone and console makers with an interest in killing PC gaming as we know it.

Apple ALLOWS for purchases without their cut as long as they're not advertised in the application itself and made outside of AppStore's API.

AppStore's rules are actually 100x better than Google Play Store's in this regard.
