im currently playing botw on pc via cemu a second time, couldn't be bothered with the master sword trial the first time as i lost interest. This time I went there to complete all dlc sidequests, for that stupid korok mask. Then I read a guide to get to that mask and also read there are 900 korok seeds, youll get pic rel as reward. Then watch m.youtube.com/watch?v=Ku91-kwQLio and I couldn't find one negative comment, they say its hilarious and the extra slots are the reward itself. Look if I wanted I could turn off weapon durability, but even with the default 8 melee, 5 bow and 4 shield slots you can get trough everything, paired with attack boosting foods for tougher enemies.

you're not supposed to autistically collect all seeds, you dumb asshole. They're scattered all over the place so you can find them at your own pace while normally playing and get upgrades to your slots.

RuneScape devs never intended for people to max their accounts or even level most skills past 50 out of 99 cuz that’s degenerate as shit but when it became apparent that a lot of people were going to do that they added rewards which in a fucked up way incentivized people to max skills who never would have done so before.
Nintendo never intended for people to find all 900 koroks, they just put in a fuck ton so that most players would end up finding enough in their adventures to get all the inventory slots without having to scour the map for 100% completion. The poop is supposed to mock you for doing something so time consuming and meaningless and your anger serves as a warning to others to not waste their time.

What this guy said. If they had locked something worthwhile behind the korok seed completionist reward it would have been frustrating for the mass appeal crowd that could never get it. They could have easily made it a medal that says "Good Job" but making it a turd was more humorous and shows the dev team put just enough thought in to make a joke for anyone committed enough to find it.
Honestly could you imagine if they locked a new set of armor behind it that no one would ever get to see because so few people would ever actually bother to get all the seeds for?

The added "content" of the 900 korok seeds is mostly repeated puzzles they're just all over the place. You experience all the content of them in a normal playthrough where you don't find them all.
