Don't remember the rest if the top of my head. Is the splitstaff as much fun as it looks? Thinking about starting a new Hide

Lightning builds are so fun in these games. Though I do like mixing it up with ninja skills too.
Yes, ki consumption is hard to manage though
Am I the only one that thinks that some of the DotD burst counter changes made some bosses easier. Like shuten dojis flaming hair spin is now a burst counter which is way more useful than burst countering his grab. Also when do the new enemies show up in DotD I heard there were some in the main game but I'm all the way up to golden castle and haven't seen shit. Can't wait for dream of the wise and all new enemy placements.
>new enemies
there are new enemies in the dlc, i think you're referring to new enemy placements
I could've sworn someone here said they put some kiryoki in DotD but that's bullshit I guess

Are any of the new graces worth using? I know Benzaiten's has Versatility but is that even worth the 6 piece set?

Versatility is a fucking 60% damage buff at max stack that rewards you for actually using your entire arsenal. It's straight out the best thing that happened with this game in terms of build making and it's worth suffering through bad secondary bonuses.
Splitstaff is an incredibly fun weapon but it needs you to learn when to use extended and non-extended versions of the moves since all of them have their purpose. It also has probably the largest amount of viable specials out of any weapon in game and it's also the best ailment inflictor in the game period thanks to arcanas and skills like Twin Phoenix or Serpent Sweep. On top of it all, it's also the best weapon for anima gain so you can integrate more yokai cores into your combo strings.
Post underrated guardian spirits.
>get kurama sword dance and yasakani magatama back to back just playing through the dlc
Feels good to get a skill drop first try for a weapon I want for once. Too bad I still have to farm him for his armor
>Switchglaive
>Odachi
>Brute currently but I prefer phantom
>Isanagami/something else for a little extra water damage I forget off hand

What's a good set to pair it with? since you only need 5 pieces with a Yasakani to get Versatility.
Lucky cunt, I had to do the duel mission 37 times before he dropped both the combat arts.
Is kurama sword dance not guaranteed after killing yoshitsune the first time? In his duel sub mission I mean
No combat art drops are guaranteed to the best of my knowledge, you got lucky user
Yeah, typically it takes me about 50-60 tried to get anything I need. I'm happy it dropped on my 1kat run. I still need to farm him for his armor but I'll probably come back for it
>1 kat
>no secondary
>feral
>itokuri for luck
>yoshitsune

I'm sure he drops his armors forging recipe but out of all my runs he just dropped a full set of armor so once I got that I stopped farming him.
Damn that's crazy. My roommate and I both got it first try. We had been going through the dlc the day it came out and left the expedition to do yoshitsune and benkeis and yeah, there it was. We figured it must be guaranteed no way we both got that lucky in almost the same instance. What are the odds I wonder?
Were you doing it co-op? aren't the drops shared?
Not that guy but I've tried a couple so far, haven't really settled on one generic combo that would work with anything though. I first did versatility with yoshitsune for the buffed up kurama dance. Switched it for Oda's set, national unity instead. I've got meme life gain on amrita on my build and that worked a bit better with its built in amrita gain on strong attacks and more generic damage. If you want more damage you could try Inari's for elemental stuff, but you'll miss out on half of its damage. Kingo would work for the backstab damage too. Haven't looked at too many others to decide what the best option is.
As far as I know drops in coop are not shared but either way I specifically mean the 1v1 mission with yoshitsune. As in he and I were doing coop but split to do his duel mission.
Yeah I'm already running Yoshitsune's set so once I grab enough Benzaiten pieces so substitute I think i'll run that since Kurama Sword Dance is fun as fuck to use
>Tonfa
>1Kat
>Brute for now
>Inosasao or Tengu
>various for Benzai's, experimenting with a few
>cumbucket
Boar is obviously defensive and I prefer the brute counter, but Tengu does let me hit harder with yokai abilities so not sure which I prefer.
I just need one piece like the gloves to pair with his sword and flute for the 4 piece bonus
Not sure what else I'm going to pair it with though. Might aim for WotW or something
I'm full 7 piece set bonus while I play through DotD
