In every other industry you don't pay for demos. Imagine walking into a thread where I make a food analogy about walking into a grocery store and you pass the lady in the grocery store asking you to try a free sample but when you go to take it she says you need to buy a pack of it first and maybe get a chance to refund if you don't like it.
