My wife used to play Super Mario World, Yoshi's Island and World Heroes when she was young, when we met she was really into Yoshi's Island and absolutely loved Wario Ware Touched and Twisted, then we started playing L4D2 together and jusr recently Smash.

I have known a few girls that really enjoyed L4D2. Not sure what it is about it, but yeah. Even just playing offline with bots (lol).

My gf plays Animal Crossing and Splatoon 2, but never anything more technical. She would've loved to play Elite Dangerous or other space games but she gets nauseated from that sort of 3D movement quickly. Strangely enough she is very fascinated with speedrunning, but only as a watcher.

I don't know either, I have asked her but she is never clear what's what she likes about it, I've shown her other shooters, even fps from Valve but she just doesn't like them, maybe because the game is very simple on the surface, shoot at zombies and run to the safehouse.
