How come nobody has made a video game about hauling cargo through space?
How come nobody has made a video game about hauling cargo through space?
Sounds fucking boring.
yeah let me just travel 128 light years through the void
You can literally do that in Eve in you feel like being a wagecuck after your 9-5

i love hisec trading in eve, it's very cathartic
alien
I'd rather play something first person where I can roll down the window of my ship and shoot the space niggers though
Play Space Engineers. It's a sandbox game where you collect resources and then build epic ships.
X1, X2, X3, X3TC, and so on.
The X series
Elite Dangerous or the X games.
i can only play engineering games like this after drinking like 6 ounces of espresso
am i a brainlet?
Starsector.
No I feel the same. You need to put quite a lot of effort into this game just to leave a planet in survival mode. I honestly don't have the energy for that
holy shit elite dangerous is this so much
Why would you do this. Space is mostly void. Unless you implement orbital mechanics is just going in straight line from A to B. Even with orbital mechanics most time would be going straight in transit.
i mean you can speed up the resource harvest and stuff but its still complicated enough that i get overwhelmed
also theres no genuine gravity simulation so there is no ability to orbit planets which really kills my interest
also i like playing online with radar mods but dont wanna lose my progress which makes me feel compelled to go far out into space where i cant be found and also play a lot before the server wipes or just randomly disappears for good
if it simulated orbit well and official servers had radar mods within a reasonable range id be obsessed with the game
i think the problem with orbit is you cant go fast enough given the conditions on any of the planetary bodies afaik
Check points, warp gates, interdictions, there's all kinds of stuff you could do to make a trip not just a straight line and even add danger to the available routes.
>not sure if retarded or just pretending
there are quite a few games where you can do this.
I just wanted to go from system to system in a bucket of bolts held together with void tape. The tutorial dumped a whole squadron of ships on me. Ruined my mood and I haven't been back.
Better yet, how come nobody has made a video game about hauling cargo through the 70s?
>Talk in trucker talk on the CB radio.
>Get into fist fight with hi-jackers.
>A bear with be in the air.
>Hunt the elusive Robert Denvy.
>make friends with another trucker who makes sure you don't ducking explode
>later in a completely unrelated event get in a fistfight with him for no reason, but stay bros because friendship is more powerful than double agents
>Special skill mission where you have to drive the truck without crashing so the scientist hidding in your trailer can finish his patent papers.
Sounds literally just like Freelancer, zoom zoom
is this bait? you know damn well that this is what most space sims are.
>if you win, you find out it was a hot chick the whole time
