I've never played wow but I'm thinking of buying a sub now that I have time, is feral druid any good in wow pvp? If there is any class I would enjoy I think it would be that.

Bros, Im starting to get the WoW itch again and I havent touched it in more than a year.
Will Shadowlands suck PvP wise at least? My favorite thing to do in WoW was doing BGs or silly WPvP ganking opposite faction.

I highly recommend trying the game on a private server first, anything before the Warlords of Draenor expansion.
I played from mid Burning Crusade all the way up to the class patch leading into Mists of Pandaria, took a long break, then came back during Legion. The game has changed a fuck ton since then, and I felt most of the classes' unique gimmicks were almost completely ruined if not just outright gotten rid of. They all felt the same at the time I last played when it came to party roles, just with a different cosmetic flavor. Feral Druids when built for dps in pvp are just rogues with some negligible differences. Tank druids are just generic tanks. They're ok last I checked, but it was really the spell boys that were king when I still played. My warlock + mage/priest teams were absolutely broken in arenas and battlegrounds.

Back in previous WoW builds though, the classes felt unique and each was useful in their own ways. Once upon a time, people were very picky with their DPS for example when it came to party composition. Do you want warlocks with their debuffs? Maybe crit-based mages? Or how about non-elemental DPS such as a rogue or warrior?

tl;dr play on a private server that's either Burning Crusade or Wrath of the Lich King. Cataclysm is ok too, but it's pushing it. I personally really enjoyed Cataclysm, it's my favorite
