I guess this will finally tell us once and for all if breaking the ToS without directly contradicting a current law is something entertainable by the courts. You always hear the "I said the N word and got banned! They can't do this to me!" because it was a breach of ToS, if this lawsuit from Epic gets listened to and taken to court then courts may in fact take cases regardless of whatever a ToS says

Yes, the Epic Store was a ploy to increase their standing for these lawsuits from the start which is why its so absolutely bare bones compared to Steam.
Also telling that they've not released the store for GNU/Linux despite Steam having support, have encouraged developers who promised GNU/Linux support to go to the Epic Store preventing the release of native versions, and have actually gone as far as to buy games with working GNU/Linux versions and removed them. Notice they are deliberately suing Microsoft's biggest competitors, but all their railing against 'monopolies' somehow excludes Microsoft who have in fact been convicted of illegally abusing their monopoly power.
