I used to say that Uncle is Red as a meme but now I’m actually convinced. The amount of details is so cool, like his burned hand, red scarf, and old house. I’m glad Revolver is connected to the rest of the series. Are there many other references?
Where should the next Red Dead should take place?
Uncle is Red Harlow
Based mango farmer
Interesting. But didn't red have scars on his face?
Scars could easily fade over time.
Honestly, I can't help but imagine R* kicking themselves for giving John the same exact scars as Red in the first place. Look at Arthur, the only scar he's got is a small mark on his chin where the hair doesn't grow fully, they didn't give him a massive wolf attack deformity like John.
Not only that, but Red and Uncle's facial structure is almost identical when you line up Uncles deep wrinkles and Red's scars.
That's a pretty cool theory, not sure if I believe it though. If they were to do a Red Dead Redemption 3 I think it should take place a decade or so before 2 and have you play as Dutch. Show him and the gang in their hay day, flesh out Hosea and their partnership some more, they can show his girl that Colm killed and how it affected him as it happened, how he raised Arthur and John, etc. Have it take place over those ten or so years before ending with the Blackwater ferry heist (or right before if they just never want to actually show that event). There's a lot of potential there even if I don't like the idea of doing yet another prequel but they kind of painted themselves in to a corner by setting 1& 2 at the end of the old west so they either have to go back even further or just move on to a completely new area and cast of characters but that would probably just lead to another story about how the west was dying out. It'd be interesting to see all these people at their best and how they started to fall.
Eh, I don't really buy it.
Do 2 protagonist game where you switch between Hosea and Dutch in the true western frontier during the civil war and have the end of the game be them meeting Arthur.
No, I'm sick of this story and this gang. Do something new.
Scars don't "easily fade".
Red Dead Redemption except you're a cossack in eastern europe.
they really aren't similar at all.
No. Red Harlow is an actual figure in the later RDR games aswell.
Uncle does not have a burned hand. I judt checked in-game.
Fuck Slavs
They really need to do something new. RDR2 worked as a prequel because John was so vague about his past in RDR1, but at this point we already have plenty of info on everyone in the gang. I love the characters, but a prequel would just essentially be about the gang meandering about until the game ends suddenly. You can't really match the gravity of the events of the gang falling apart, and then them all being assassinated years later.
>Fuck Slavs
Yes.
This looks like a weeaboo Ciri almost.
That's fair, I guess I just really like these fuckers and don't want to let them go. Whatever they do though it should definitely be set a bit earlier though right? At this point the whole "death of the old west" aspect of the games should be put to bed.
Don't they talk about Red in RDR2? It's implied he had a happy end I think.
Look at Mark Hamill's scars today. They didn't exactly fade, his skin just looks worse overall so you cant see it.
I think some random NPCs you can sit around the campfire with out in the wilderness will talk about him as a legend or something like that.
>Gambler 8
>Gambler 9
Man that shit was annoying, but at least I know how to play dominoes now.
If Abigail is actually Uncle's daughter, then the series begins and ends with a Harlow. This makes sense thematically given how both sought vengeance.
Is there any trick to Gambler 9? One person was saying Emerald Ranch is a good idea to do it in but I haven't done Hosea's fencing mission there yet. Another person I saw said you should reload your save in Saint Denis until only one guy is sitting at the table then pray, but the SD method is a lot more unfair on the NPC's side. There was also something mentioned that if you're about to lose or want to bail you need to drop the game with a domino or it will count it as a loss?
Oh, and a sidenote, who in the hell decided you can't skip blackjack but can skip poker? How has a skip function not been added in over a year at this point? It gets updates like every week.
fuck you and your lumbago
Yowza
I just did the Saint Denis one and tried to play the best games I could. I practiced a lot at camp and eventually got the hang of the game and could get some wins relatively consistently. I had to restart a few times but I eventually got three wins in a row without even having to quit out for fear of losing, but I think all you have to do for that is leave the game before the opponent reaches the amount of points they need to avoid breaking your winning streak. The luck of the draw is honestly the biggest factor at play, you just have to pay close attention to the tiles on every end and hope you can get what you need.
