Entry level normalfag philosophy with a naturalistic fallacy: the game
Entry level faggot: the OP
says the retard who can't even post on the right board
I don't give a shit about the other board faggot
>game has any type of philosophy theme
>Zig Forums: NOOOOOO THATS PRETENTIOUS IS NOT DEEP YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND
Zig Forums tough guy lmao
And?
Never said the game is pretentious. It isn't, but it has a shit story with philosophy that I didn't even need to look into Carl Yung to think of when I was 15 or something. I like philosophical themese in shit, but this game is fucking lame. I don't agree overall with its take on death. It uses a naturalistic fallacy to make its argument, and that's why I don't really like it philosophically.
explain to someone that didn't play the game why its a fallacy
So the game implies that the concept of death is something that should just be accepted as a normal part of life just because it simply happens to people. While yes, getting rid of death is impossible at the moment, it's not crazy to resist it. There are several life forms in this world that can live for an indefinite amount of time. Thinking that death should be a normal thing is something that limits our species as a whole. Don't get me wrong, I'm a pessimist since our species is actually quite shit at a lot of things, so I do think concepts such as death are here to stay, but I do think in ambitious ways.
I just took a first year philosophy course and now feel the need to express my overinflated sense of superiority: the poster
Did you mean to post nier automata?
>getting rid of death is impossible at the moment, it's not crazy to resist it
you haven't played the game
that as well
game is shit and anyone who thinks any single videogame is deep is a faggot
that being said op is double faggot for probably being 14 and thinking he is epic philosophy guru by reading the first book he saw on /lit/
I'm 20 and I don't browse /lit/ at all
you literally did not understand the game
the games does implies that death is a thing that simply happens BUT that's why you should try to make the most of your life
the entire last month is literally about trying to resist death by fighting nyx
I mean sure, maybe we can transcend death for a while but the ending of things is inevitable, maybe we can upload our consciousness to machines that will live forever in in space but we will only survive until entropy. And even if we transcend that, what's even the point of being immortal though? at some point you will be just an empty consciousness floating into a void because everything else has been destroyed. What will you even do with all the memory you accumulated? They will all be abstract things that make no sense anymore to the reality you're living now. Of course I would like to live 500 years more, but actually transcending death for infinity sounds much more like a curse.
>im 20
Holy shit I've never played this game but I feel I've discovered more about your pathetic psychology than the game's philosophy from this post.
>death is scary so I'll lash at anything that suggests my life's end is inevitable
CHK-CHIK *gunshot*
fucking GOT his ass
50000 IQ here
anyone that thinks anything is deep is just a dumb faggot, im smarter than everyone and everything is shallow and stupid
nothing is deep and/or interesting, except for me obviously
So you're criticizing a game you didn't play?
Holy fuck, how many times are you going to make this thread
unironically this
you cannot even begin to understand my intricacies
>it's not crazy to resist it
THEY LITERALLY BANISH THE GOD OF DEATH IN THE GAME YOU FUCKING IDIOT AAAAAA MY GOOOODDDDDD
did you just watch the intro of the game where they flash "memento mori" on the screen, google the meaning of memento mori, and then base your opinions on the entire game based on this?
>Entry level normalfag philosophy with a naturalistic fallacy
what did he mean by this?
It insists upon itself.
g-guys i think he got the bad ending
that he is in highschool
Best reply I've seen so far. I will admit that I hastily worded one of my posts which might make it seem like I don't understand the game. I do mostly agree with the game philosophically, but I find it really basic and it didn't go as deep into the theme of depth as I wanted it to. I thought the characters and story were boring as shit for the most part. I liked junpei and chidori though. However, I feel like the game contradicts itself by the end with the characters resisting death, but then the MC welcoming death with open arms. I also didn't care about the MC as a character at all, so the impact of the game's ending was not felt by me as much as others. I thought it was a game with a few interesting ideas but very messy execution.
are you spanish or do you speak spanish by any chance?
What's the point in anything? Now you're missing the point of the game that I agree with. You can still make your own justification for existence even while being immortal.
>p3 babbies coping this hard
any justification for your existence will depend on your environment and what you can do, if there's literally nothing else other than your consciousness there's no reason to exist
p5 was genuinely a mistake
I know no spanish
