What the fuck was she thinking?

What a ponce

>Time running out
>Surrounded by Brutes
>Johnson straight up tells her to kill him
>Doesn't even hesitate, just stands there
>Gets killed by a fucking Prophet
Good thing her father wasn't around to see it

Why didn't she take a squad of Marines or ODSTs with her, or hell even some navy crewman.

Pelicans are VTOLS
Why didn't she smash the window, hover in place, and shoot everything with its machine gun?
Stupid bitch crashed the fucking thing, shot a couple brutes with a Shotgun, then got killed by a crippled old man.

death by cop.

she was dick crazy over Johnson's BBC.

Or the Chief and Arbiter? Why did she ever think going through the control tower would be faster than smashing the back window in?

She was kinda cute in OG Halo 2

Why did Halo 3 have so much soul to it?

Even outside the fucking game, bungie made content that is so wonderful youtube.com/watch?v=SyOAdrxlPVs

They explain it in the making of halo 3 docu. basically the original script had no one dying and felt emotionally hollow so they added in keyes' and johnson's death. unfortunately they didn't really change enough so both of their deaths feel random

its funny that they thought anyone cared about miranda at all.

Worst Halo character. Remember how she let her ship get Flood infected? I mean sure, the Arbiter opened the shield, but she, the commander, decided to dtep out, leave the ship, and go to grab the index. Nothing she ever does is smart, nothing.

People shit on Palmer for that one bant she said to the chief, but no one talks about how stupid Miranda is.

She crashed a Pelican into the control room in order to prevent Truth from remotely activating the rings, her distraction and eventual death giving Master Chief, Arbiter and the Flood enough time to reach Truth and stop the activation.

>Hesitates when ordered to kill one of her closest friends
Gee I wonder why

Probably because there were basically no marines or crewmen left to help her

What the fuck are you talking about? She literally flies the Pelican in through the back window because Chief and Arbiter were going through the control tower normally and couldn't get there in time

Halo 3's plot is dogshit. Consider something even worse: There was no need to assault the three towers individually in the first place. Truth was actually powerless inside the shield-- he had no reclaimers to activate the Ark. Sending Johnson's team into the third tower was basically giving Truth what he needed to kill everyone for literally no reason. And wasn't the Elite fleet winning the space battle when the towers were being attacked anyway? So there was no reason to risk humans being captured anyway

They should have left at least one alive.
One of 4's major problems is that only 2 major characters from the previous games are in it (chief and cortana). They made that Forward Unto Dawn thing to try and make Lasky more of a friendly face for Chief, but it wasn't the same.

Johnson's death was actually good if you ask me. Spark did show signs of Rampancy after all.

>What the fuck are you talking about? She literally flies the Pelican in through the back window because Chief and Arbiter were going through the control tower normally and couldn't get there in time
I'm saying they should have flown in through the back window in the first place instead of making them travel through the tower. Not hard to understand, retard.

>Truth was actually powerless inside the shield-- he had no reclaimers to activate the Ark
I am upset this has never occurred to me in 13 years

>I see now why they left you behind
Truth was right

She looks like a teenager I had a crush on back in middleschool

who is this semen seeress?

Fucking why? Miranda did it as an act of desperation because it was the only option she had left. People's first thoughts when travelling aren't usually to fucking crash straight through shit.

imagine if palmer never existed and Johnson took her spot

Sending Johnson to the 3rd tower was a retarded move in the first place also.
>There was no time limit, so Chief/Arbiter could have done two themselves.
>They sent a supersoldier to tower 1, a load of Elites (who are essentially a team of supersoldiers) to tower 2, but only a team of regular marines and one slightly better Sergeant Major to the 3rd...

Chief, Johnson and Arbiter were already on the ground with all troops, disabling the shields, scarabs and banshees. The Pelican wouldn't have made it though before. She didn't have anyone else on board to send, the ship is completely empty at the end of the game. In hindsight she should've picked up Arbiter and Chief after the Scarabs went down, but that's only what it is - hindsight. So when she got the chance to do something, she did. She bought time for Chief and Arbiter.

Palmer used to be good.

Why the fuck not?

They didn't know that, and even if they did, they couldn't count on Truth not having any human prisoners with him.

>Fucking why?
gee I dunno user, maybe the part where there's a mad man about to activate a galaxy spanning super weapon designed to exterminate all sentient life.

Imagine if Palmer wasnt hated over a bant that tried to both humanized Chief, and at the same time give context to the final scene where Chief is freaking massive and everyone, including Palmer, were like "holy shit".

I never got why people hate her so much.

Dont forget they sent ODSTs with Chief. Freaking ODSTs.

And when they found out there was a mad man about to activate a galaxy spanning super weapon designed to exterminate all sentient life, that's exactly what she did

>eggheads

>And when they found out
motherfucker what do you think the entire mission was about? They knew he was there from the start, it wasn't some huge revelation when they set foot in the tower.

Oh look, another character that had no reason to exist.

It still doesn't make sense to just give him some, which sending a team of basic marines to the tower accomplished. To actually play it safe, the third tower should have been a joint attack by Chief and the elites (which it ended up being anyway). The whole Johnson going in with just his squad thing is very contrived as a way to get him + Miranda killed

spark did say "that meddler is going to ruin everything" or something along those lines, although i'm not sure exactly what he meant by that

Why didn't she just fly the pelican in then set it to self-destruct?

>I never got why people hate her so much
because first impressions are everything and she does nothing afterwords to improve it.

They should have made Palmer more of a poster-woman for Spartan-IVs.

Attached: Palmer.jpg (759x1631, 839.74K)

actually in thinking about this and reading a few replies, I just realized that Truth going all the way to the control room with no humans in the first place is an even bigger plot hole

Halo 3 is where they stopped trying with the story. What happened?

Why would a pelican have a self-destruct button?

Or use the Phantom-destroying missiles they come equipped with?

Yeah, especially considering that the Prophets knew about the need for humans to be the ones to activate the rings.

It's not like truth didn't have a chance to get some prisoners while he was fucking about in Africa either.

She was weak. And Gods must be strong.

Based and Truthpilled

The very first impression of Palmer I had was like "look at this dork trying to impresos the Chief", but in a playful way. Also when del Río orders her to arrest him you could see how un comfortable she was because, he is the chief, she clearly respectos him to ignore a stupid order.

I dont know, I think she just rubbed many people the wrong way because they see Chief almost as a god or something like that and a comment like that from a new character wasnt taken well.

He wasn't worried, he knew the writers would give him one later. Maybe he really was a genius the whole time

You realize that the whole fucking reason they sent Chief and Arbiter in first was because the whole fucking thing was extremely heavily defended from the outside, right? It was only after they fucking broke through the defences outside and got inside that they found out, which was when they found out that Truth had Johnson and was planning to activate the rings, which was when Chief realized he didn't have enough time to get to them because of the fuckhuge elevator, which is when Miranda crashes her Pelican into the fucking building.

Why the fuck would she crash her Pelican into the building before that? Suicide?
